Soldiers will not arrest anyone according to homeland security. Why now . The white house is concerned about the surge of Central Americans. In 2009, 90 of those arrested were mexican. 2011, 90 were young men. Today 40 are women and children. Those people coming in as children are coming in as part of family units, really hampering our ability to be out on the border. Thats the goal. Rather than burn time transporting and processing Central Americans by using the National Guard, the administration hopes that more agents can spend time enforcing the law and deporting those that break it. The truth of the matter is, the truth is the tensions are at an alltime low. Anymore sure where this came from. Neil im not asking you where that came from. Im not trying to politicize this. Do you know if its barack obama sending troops, do they consult with, what is the procedure, was this im not sure if anyone knows. Im not sure if the president of the United States has consulted with people within his administration. Last word ive seen, his aides are spinning out of control because they were unaware that he was going to make this decision. The question will be, who will pay for this. When other president s sent troops, that i have to communicate with those in the area or governors affected to get guardsmen to participate from states. Because people and the drugs and the other elicit contraband that comes in, they often end up in usually do in other states. Real quick, i want to go to nancy pelosi saying if the democrats take over in the house, theyre going to revisit the tax cut thing. The same thing the president was bragging about in West Virginia. She wants to change it, go after the 1 percenters. Whats going on here . Even in a fantasy land where theres a veto proof majority, youre not going to raise taxes back up on people. The bush tax cuts were reversed by obama. Its very difficult to raise taxes on anybody. It goes up and down. Very democrats and republicans. It will be hard to raise. Youre not going to see taxes going up from this tax cut neil its a risky campaign position, right . People are going to interpret that is what else will you inwind here . I dont know why you would talk about one of the first things youre going to do is raise taxes for some groups that doesnt seem like a very good strategy. This goes back to the tariffs and the President Trump announcing steel tariffs and all. He expressed during the campaign, to protect american jobs. If you step back, what you discover is that donald trump has already won the jobs war. It wasnt against south korea or germany or china. It was against eight year of suppressed Economic Activity during the obama years when we had high unemployment. Currently the Unemployment Rate is 4. 1 , neil. Were virtually at full employment. The big story in this United States now is employers, manufacturers, tech. The rest of it can no find workers to fill the jobs that are available right now. Neil why is that . I read that. Surely that is easily addressable with improved pay, a more demanding working public. What . One of the reasons, we know theres a skill deficit. The other thing we havent heard so much about that we tried to emphasize is the lack of mobility now by American Workers. The United States is famous for people moving to where the jobs are. We had a great migration after world war ii. People moving from the south to the north to take jobs. To a great extent, that happens a lot less. People stay home. They wont move to where the jobs are. Thats for a variety of reasons. They feel housing is too expensive, its not worth selling their home. Its also the cause that theres been a whole sort of accumulation of disincentives, welfare, disability payments. The rest of it, which kind of adds up to people saying, its not worth my time to make all the effort to move to a job. Im happy where i am right now. Neil and the argument that many have made, addressed the trade inequities and how the chinese rigged their safe and making it difficult for americans to do business there and to share everything with the chinese. That we rectify that, its going to vastly improve things for workers here. More hiring here, more demand for American Workers period. You say thats not the case. Well, i think we reached the point where you say if rerectify that problem. My concern for what is going on here, neil, President Trump doesnt like multilateral trade agreements. He pulled out of the Trans Pacific trade agreement. He threatened nafta. He plans to do it bilateral like china. Neil must be working. Look at the pick up in Economic Activity.
