The europeans foolishly rushed in to make their investments after the socalled jcpoa deal was agreed upon. They rushed in and made this huge investment. And now theyre about to lose everything. I think you will see more people follow mercedesbenz. I think you will see more groups, more organizations, more corporations, withdraw their investments there while they still can before they lose everything that they had invested in. Yeah, because the situation around mercedes, it has people wondering if other European Companies will also suspend practices and iran. The Trump Administration is saying look, you do business
with iran, you will not do business with United States. And yet, we still have a lot of business going on between European Companies and iran. Yeah, that is right. And i dont think that you will see the european government, certainly not in the short turn acknowledge that they are withdrawing. I think this will buy by corporation, by Investment Groups and i dont think that youll see any of our european allies in the short term step up and say, you know, the United States is right, and we are getting out as well. But, i think it will happen just as a matter of practicality. What do you want to see from the terms of the administration at this point . What will represent the break in the sanctions . First of all, i think the second round of sanctions, which is where there will be greater restrictions on the Petroleum Sales and exports. That is really going to hurt them. How did they get their message out west and mark making sure that republicans understand that democrats are going to come to washington to resist and repress. Republicans mean more jobs and a higher wages and a better economy for ohio. A couple of weeks ago the president said that he is going to be getting out more and more. I think the rallies empower him. If he is campaigning, 56 days a week, that is going to move the needle, isnt it . The biggest concerns republicans have going into this midterm is complacency. They usually lose, on average,
going into that first midterm. We need to wake up our voters and let them note that they have got to come fight for this election, fight for this turnaround that this country is feeling. People are taking home more money, their lives are better because of republicans and washington. The only weight that we are going to set Washington Free and get bipartisan ship and washington, is to obstruct and resist and not work with this president. So, we have to reject that and bring more republicans. And then, democrats will rethink, maybe we should work with this president , because this resist an abstract playbook could not work in november. There is a fair amount of filibusters and pushback by The Democrats. He needs more republicans in the senate and the house. Yeah, and he needs democrats that will work with him. It is good for all americans if we can continue this comeback, but people are going to come to washington willing to work with President Trump. You have agents that are out there every single day, putting their lives on the line for the american public. That is what it comes down to. The president s legal team who has been leaning against having the president conduct an interview with mueller does not want the scope of any potential questions go beyond the scope of possible collusion which President Trump has denied. In a perfect world, there would be a few written questions about the Obstruction Issue and oral questions as well about russia and collusion. In the meantime, the Wall Street Journal is reporting this afternoon that the president s former attorney is. Cohens attorney has been pretty vocal and his defense. He would not comment on this issue. Another issue that has nothing to do with the Trump Administration. Right, exactly. Special counsel, robert ray is with me to tell if he should
sit down with robert mueller. Of all the indictments that we are seeing so far, they have nothing to do with what the mandate was supposed to do which is collusion. Those investigations and prosecutions would appear to have independent merits apart from, if anything that they have to say about russias collisions. What is the conversation about marco this and Michael Cohen that . It has nothing to do with donald trump. This has gone on now for 15 months. I have said for some time that a prosecutor has about 18 months or so to show results, and then public sentiment gets exhausted with the investigation and it is time to get to a conclusion. This is what the president has called for. Do you think that he is going to come to a conclusion and show us the report on russian meddling . I had hoped that this would be done before the russian elections. It seems unlikely at this point that that will happen. Maybe we will be surprised and it will come in before then. But the thing that is hanging over us of course is the ongoing negotiations about whether or not the president will or not sit for an interview and the terms under which this will be done. I am shocked that we are continuing to talk about whether the president is continuing to sit down with robert mueller. I think there is a clock on these investigations. Past experiences have shown with independent Didnt Counsel that one successful strategy is wait it out until the conclusion. It may well be that the president could submit to an interview. Why would he give an interview with regards to things like obstruction where i think he has reason to conclude, based on advice that his lawyers that he has not obstructed justice and no Obstruction Case could be made. Why would you submit to an interview to prosecution for perjury and given chances for obstruction related questions . If he waits it out, i believe he awaits the results of the midterms and then it becomes a political question as to what happens next. The president at that point could choose to shutdown the investigation on the fact that the republicans maintain control of congress. He may decide to shutdown the investigation in any event and dried off the question about whether or not The Democrats would actually pursue impeachment articles. Isnt the issue on whether the president will sit down with mueller in and of itself annoys and keeps the idea alive . Why doesnt he come out and say no, the president is not sitting down with you, robert mueller. I think the he and the president want to show the willingness to meet the investigation halfway. Also, with his peril and advice he has been given, dont make anything worse. Dont submit to an interview where you could put yourself in
legal jeopardy. I think he wants to provide the appearance that he is willing to cooperate with Robert Muellers investigation. And submit to an interview so long that it is on reasonable terms.
