I think spying on a Political Campaign is a big deal. Youre not suggesting though that spying occurred . I think there was spying that did occur. Yes. Spying did occur. Much of the issue is whether evidence drove the Decision Making in 2016 or personal bias at the fbi personnel was the driver. I believe theres a basis for my concern, but im not going to discuss the basis. During the 2016 campaign, the fbi opened what is called the Counter Intelligence investigation. This is designed to gather information versus bringing up criminal prosecution in the futu future. We saw that they got a surveillance warrant for carter page. The warrant was never offered a defensive briefing, like an intelligence headsup to warn about russian contact. So would it be odd that your campaign may be targeted by a foreign entity . That is one of the questions i have. I feel normally the campaign would have been advised of this. Democrats pressed the attorney general on the Mueller Report in these four categories of redactions arguing theres a legal precedent for chairing grand jury information. It attempts to hide swaths of the report from public scrutiny along the way, will only fuel suspicions raised by many that the justice department, which represents the United States is playing the role of President Trumps defense team. He does not need to see the Mueller Report because he says he has won and he is exonerated. And he says as for the beginnings of the Mueller Report, what initiated it, what became that investigation, he calls all of that a coup attempt. The Mueller Report, when they talk about obstruction, what we fight back. You know why we fight back . Because i knew how illegal this whole thing was. It was a scam. What they did was treason. What they did was terrible. Democrats say they still need to see the full report before they draw their conclusions. The president spoke as he was leaving for a couple of fund raisers in texas. Hes also signing an executive order there to make it more difficult for states to block pipeline projects. Hes still pushing for the border wall. If you had a wall on the other side, they wouldnt be able to get through and they wont come. If they know they cant get through, theyre not going to come over and they wont come. The pentagon says they have awarded about a billion dollars in contracts to build more stretch of wall. The money according to the Defense Department comes from a counter narcotics fund. This as the u. S. Border patrol released information saying 103,000 people were apprehended at the border or turned away there coming up through mexico, to the southern border of the United States. That number represents double the amount for the same month the previous year. So you compare march of last year to march of this year, youve got more than double of those showing up at the border, either being apprehended or turned around. Charles . I mean it should be looked into. The attorney general obviously has some reason for believing that. You know, whether its spying or good reason for that spying, i think is the question that hes trying to answer. I think the American People deserve to know that answer. In addition to the i. G. Report that we may see soon, it looks like a. G. Barr on a parallel track. But also the question is brought up why the Trump Campaign was never notified that such that this was actually occurring. You would think that thats exactly what they would do if they really cared about solving a Counter Intelligence investigation. I have some history in Counter Intelligence. I understand what goes in these types of operations. It does seem strange that we wouldnt notified our fellow americans when this goes on. A lot of debate over how much, if any, of the Mueller Report should be redacted. In your experience in these things, what is at stage if theres no redactions . Its hard to say. I have not read it. I dont know what is in it. Theres potentially classified material, damaging material. I still urge them to relose as much as possible under the law. I want to switchback to the topic of immigration, particularly border security. President trump had an impromptu press conference, if you will, at a fund raiser. He wanted the public to hear some of the stories. We heard about people finding bodies on their ranches. People afraid to go to gates. Afraid to answer their own doors. This is your part of the country. You know well how shocking these stories are. I dont think the American Public has ever heard them before. No. We need to get those stories out. I personally heard those stories. Heres the reality. We have an overwhelming crisis on our border, just this year, this fiscal year alone, more apprehensions than the last five years. Were at crisis levels. Theres a problem and we need to fix it. Theres a real issue with the fact that we dont have partners on the other side of the aisle that have a desire to fix it. They didnt want the wall. They voted that way. What about the asylum process . Theres a very obvious problem occurring here. People are taking complete advantage of the asylum process. Theyre coming over with families because they know they bring a kid with them, its their ticket across. They know they will be released to the homeland. Thats an unsustainable policy and its not fair to legal immigrants. Not fair to cut in front of them. Its not fair to migrants. We should tell them that they can claim asylum in their home countries or mexico so they dont have to makes this dangerous journey, which is controlled by drug cartels. This is resulting in Human Trafficking and kids being used and recycled over and over again. I saw 16 different kids that happened to in one day. Representative, the composition. Some have argued that this is up to some of the crisis levels before. So many families, children being used this way, you have to spark a greater sense of urgency from washington d. C. Youd think. Theres a different problem now and requires different solutions. We need more judges, more detention centers. The cases need to be adjudicated fast. If theyre not found to be valid, they can be deported. Instead, were being overwhelmed and everybody is being released. Thats it. They dont come back. You can put deportation orders out there. Theyre difficult to enforce. This is a completely unsustainable policy. Why have borders at all in why do we check people on airplanes . Some dont want borders at all. Thats the problem. She says that the far right loves to drum up fear and resistance to immigrants. Have you ever noticed they never talk about what is causing people to flee their homes in the first place . Perhaps thats because they would be forced to confront one major factor fuelling global migration, Climate Change. So sort of conflating illegal immigration with immigration and making it a global problem. Climate change . News to me. I didnt know the Green New Deal would solve the border crisis. Its the ultimate deal. It will solve all of our woes if we can figure out how to pay for it. Does that mean theyre taking it seriously or looking to score political points . Its pretty clear that theyre not taking this seriously at all. Listen, the numbers speak for themselves. This is not due to Climate Change. Every immigrant that comes across has a different reason nor coming to come across but its not Climate Change. Thats a ridiculous statement. Theyve gone to this point that way want to blame Climate Change for everything now. Sorry, but the Green New Deal is not going to solve that. It will wreck our economy. Maybe immigrants wont want to come here anymore. We did see a downturn in the great recession. What could solve this . Is there something realistic in our grasp . Considering the Political Climate that could start to address this issue. Yes. Like i said, we need to reform our asylum process. People are taking advantage of this process. So what do we do . We need more detention facilities immediately. We need to house these people while their cases are adjudicated and we need the resources to adjudicate them. We need more Immigration Judges there now. They can be turned around and deported if the cases are not found to be valid. They should be allowed to wait in mexico. The Trump Administration wanted that. We should not allow activist judges to overturn that decision. Theres precedent for that. President clinton did the same thing with haiti. Its not a crazyize. Its safe there. Theres no reason to think that. Theyre not fleeing mexico. These are solutions that we should agree on to get operational control of our own borders and sovereignty of our country.
