But it keeps coating some states to the north in ice, making for some very dangerous driving conditions. The band of storms thats been moving through parts of the plains and the midwest since thursday is blamed for at least 14 deaths, including eight in texas and six in kansas. A 70yearold woman, whose car was swept away by flash flooding friday in fort worth, remains missing. Although the icy conditions are expected to persist in parts of oklahoma and kansas through tonight, forecasters say sunday freezing and thaw out. Really going to be spotty overnight, you can see the magnitude of this system. A lot of counties in that winter advisory, all the way down to oklahoma city. The main story is that light precipitation into the evening hours, we can start to see some of that in the southwestern portion of the state as early as 6 p. M.
