Christianity and every day every program I try and bring things they will encourage you and encourage me to live a life that God Bless You know this world is passing away and every day we have a choice of where to spend our time and where to spend our money and what to think about and what to hope for and the world is always pulling out. For a better car. A better house a better job. And those things are Ok but we must have room in our and our hearts for the Kingdom of God We must get up every morning I believe and thank the Lord for all he's done for us for all he's doing for us and for all he will do for us we must get up every morning thank you Lord that this is going to be a good day because you are in my life you are leading me you are guiding me thank you Lord for all you've done for me and all you will do for me and I just want you to know that I love you and I'm going to walk with you all day and that's how I think you start your day if you want to live a victorious Christian life now we've been studying. We have been studying Ephesians and we are now up to chapter one beginning of verse 13 . And actually we covered verse 13 at the end of the last program and so that was the verse of the verses and $13.00 to $17.00 where we talked about. How God put in us the heart to trust him and to believe him and then he seals us with the Holy Spirit the ceiling of the Holy Spirit when you feel the holy spirit alive in you then you know that heaven is going to be your home so let's start here. With verse 15 where at 1st Corinthians. Chapter one beginning of verse 15 the Bible says Therefore I also want to hear of Paul's writing Paul who wrote most of the New Testament whose name originally was Saul and then after he became saved and began to follow Jesus he changed his name to Paul which is interesting because this man was sent to the non Jewish world to spread the news of Christ and what a great job be dead. And his name was Saul which is a Hebrew name and he changed his name to Paul which is a Roman name and so by changing his name from I name that was Hebrew and focused on Jewish things he changed his name to a Roman name which focuses and speaks of what the Bible calls Gentile things or non jewish things so he says in verse 15 Therefore I also after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love of all the saints do not cease to give thanks for you making mention of you in my prayers that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father Flory may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him the eyes of your understanding being enlightened that you may know what is the hope of his calling and what are the riches of His glory of his inheritance in the Saints. And what is the exceeding greatness of His power towards us who believe according to the workings of his mighty power which he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places far above all principality and power in might and dominion and every name that is named not only in this age but also in that which is to come and he put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head of all things through the church which is his body the fullness of him who fills all in all wow you know who who who can teach on this is so amazing and so deep we could probably spend a year talking about just this whole passage which is verses chapter one of a fusion verses 15 through $23.00 but let's break it down a little bit will we won't spend forever here but I just want to go back and point out a couple things to you which I think will be a blessing to you. It says in verse 17 that the God of Peace praying that they got of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of glory may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him the eyes of your understanding being in the light and that you may know what is the hope of his calling and the riches of His glory of his inheritance in the Saints you know here's here's what Paul's praying he's praying that that we would have wisdom and that we would know and understand Jesus. They would know and understand the love of God I tell you the truth Christianity is almost too good to believe because here God loved us that God who created the universe loves you and I enough to send his Son to die there's no greater love than that. Can you imagine is there room in your heart is a room in your mind to know that God loves you that much probably the biggest failing we have as Christians is we don't realize how much God loves us we don't realize how much he cares for us we don't realize how much he sacrificed for us you know we get so tied up in the things of the world we get down we get discouraged we forget God loves us and so here Paul is praying that we might have revelation and wisdom and of course the Bible says you should ask you should seek you should not because everyone who asks they will be ill be given to them everyone who seeks will find and whoever knocks to him or her the door will be opened so here there's a there's no real limit and God you if you will seek the Lord today if you ask him for wisdom if you will knock at the the door of his temple asking for wisdom and the knowledge of Him He will give it to you he'll give it to you every day that's one thing I've learned in 38 years of walking with the Lord is there's always something wonderful to be learned and more to be learned in fact as a further the further along that I live the older I am the more I see the hand of God and the more I know. And so I encourage you but let's pray right now Lord we are praying right now we're asking you we're seeking you that should give us knowledge of you and revelation of how much you love us we pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. And the Bible goes on to Sandra say 18 that the eyes of your understanding been enlightened that you may know what is the hope of his calling and what are the riches of his inheritance in the Saints So let's talk about knowing. I'm going to read here you. From 1st Corinthians chapter one. And it's going to be from. Starting a verse 18 and the Bible says for the messages of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing but to us who are being saved it is the power of God For it is written I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent whereas the wise where is the scribe Where is the disputer of this age has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world but here my listener are talking about what it really means to know God for since in the wisdom of God the world through wisdom did not know God it please God to the foolishness of the message preach to save those who believe for the Jews request the sign and the Greek 6 seek after wisdom but we preach Christ crucified to that use a stumbling block to the Greeks foolishness but to those of us who are called both Jew and Cree Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God So here's where the Bible says if you really want to know the true wisdom of God You need to look at the cross of Jesus you need to look at what Jesus did all wisdom and all love can be seen by simply looking at the cross of Christ and what he did and then the Bible goes on to say that you might know the riches of his inheritance Let me read you what it says about Moses regarding riches because if we think about riches you know we might think about people like Donald Trump or we might think about Bill Gates we might think about this guy or that guy that's not what the Bible calls riches. The Bible calls something else riches I'm going to read to you from Hebrews chapter 11 beginning of verse 24 by faith Moses when he came of age refused to be call the son of Pharaoh's daughter choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God then to enjoy the passing pleasures of sand a steaming their approach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt for he looked to the reward so here the Bible says that the true riches were not all the gold and jewels and palaces in Egypt now those are true riches the true riches come from God the true riches are laid out for you in heaven Jesus said lay up for yourselves treasure riches in heaven because there the stone breakthrough in steel and math in Rostock corrupt he said lay not up for yourself treasures on earth so hear the true riches the true riches are in heaven and that's what you want to know because where your treasure is there where your heart be also what have you wondered why some people don't love the Lord you know it's because they have no treasure in heaven they're not in love with the Lord because they're not excited about having they're not thinking about how wonderful it's going to be to be face to face with Jesus to be walking with him to be enveloped in the love and praise of God. So let's go on to verse 19 and what he wants us to know he says What is the exceeding greatness of His power towards us who believed according to his mighty power. Which he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand and heavenly places you know the same power. That raise Jesus from the dead is the power that we have as Christians to live every day I'm telling you that every day I'm living for one reason I'm living because I have in me the mighty power that raise Jesus from the dead is the same power the power that he Jesus is dead body in that tomb that was brought back to life that marvelous power is the same power we can have to live every day to get through the trials we have in this world to keep our eyes focused on him and so I would encourage you to think about living in the power that raised Jesus from the dead every day through God. So let's continue on verse $21.00 and it raised Jesus and set him in heavily places far above all principalities and powers and might in dominion and every name that is named not only in this age but in the age to come so let's talk for a minute about Prince apologies and powers you know there are spiritual powers that we can't see there are principalities that we can't see. Let me read to you what the Bible says and cautions Chapter 2 beginning of. 13 about this and the Bible says and you being in your trespasses and circumcision of your flesh he has made a live together with him having forgiven all your trespasses having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us which was contrary to us and he has taken it out of the way having nailed it to the cross having disarmed principalities and powers he made a public spectacle. Triumphing over them and all he did. When Jesus rose from the dead. All the principal powers all the spiritual principle some good some evil they all saw it and they all realized Jesus is Lord of the Lord and King of Kings he triumphed over everyone. And sometimes. When God would do something wonderful for me specially wonderful I'll just put down my pen and I'll walk out the door of my office and I'll just walk around the block and I'll be thanking the Lord and I'll just take that walk because I want every principle and power. And fact the church is not even everyone sitting in the pews the church is not everyone who calls themselves a Christian and my heart breaks Roy My heart breaks for those people who think they are Christians but they don't love the Lord and they don't follow him you know they call themselves Christians as if someone might call themselves a Democrat or Republican it's an honor and a privilege to walk with Jesus it's an honor and a privilege is not a right it takes a sacrifice it takes a commitment to walk with Jesus and the Church consists of the people who love Him and walk with Him Not everyone who calls themselves a Christian will inherit the kingdom of God and I pray you do inherit the kingdom of God I don't want to sit here behind this microphone and tell people they're not going I want to tell people let's go together I want to tell people let's love the Lord if there's some weight in our life let's put it aside if there's something that's holding us back there's something we're doing we know is not right let's stop it let's ask God for help let's throw ourselves at his feet and ask for mercy to live the life that he will Plas because you don't want to be among those people who at the end of your life you're lost you don't want to be on your deathbed wondering now what was it I was supposed to do what was it what does it take to make heaven my home I can't remember I've heard I thought I heard I thought it no I can't remember you know here's what it is. To say I love you Lord I'm going to walk with you and I accept you as my Lord and Savior that's what I want for all my Lester's and for myself and for my family and for this whole world now going on here to verse chapter 2 of the fish and the Bible says in verse one and you he has made alive who were dead and trespass and sand in which you once walked according to the course of this world according to the prince of the power of the air the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience in whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the loss of our flesh fulfilling the desires of our flesh and of our mind and were by nature children of wrath just as the others. So there are people and I say this with great sadness who are spiritually dead they're not physically dead they're spiritually dead and. You know it all started and can be traced back to the 1st rebellion which was in the Garden of Eden and let me read you that. It's in Genesis Chapter 3 beginning of verse one Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field where civil or God had made and he said to the woman has God indeed said You shall not eat of every tree of the garden and the woman said to the servant we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden but the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden God has said You shall not eat it nor shall you touch it but should die then the serpent said to the woman you shall not surely die for God knows that in that day when you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God knowing good and evil so when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and is pleasant to the eyes and a tree to be desirable to make one wise she took of his fruit and ate it and also gave it to her husband with her and he ate. That was the 1st mistake and the classic mistake that every person makes. God has given us all this and yet we choose ago our own way. And when you go against God there is a spiritual death. You can become alive again by loving the Lord and receiving him a savior. That's how we want to live a life to God and dead to sin the Bible says alive to God So when God looks at you seeing that Jesus is your savior he sees you are alive he blesses you he Guard ship he guides you and he takes you on his way on his path on the way to eternal life.
