New developments in the case of a man accused in a deadly rampage at a colorado planned parenthood. Parenthood. 57year old robert dear is charged with first degree murder, with no bond set. Set. Police say dear killed an iraq war veteran and a mother of two both were there with seperate friends. A standoff and shootout friday left nine others in the hospital. Weve also learned that dear was arrested in 2002 accused of looking into a womans window. The charge was later dismissed. A student from university of illinois at chicago is facing charges tonight after making threats online toward another city school with a similar name. The university of chicago canceled all classes and activities on its hyde park campus today. The fbi says someone posted a threat of gun violence specifically mentioning the campus quad monday morning. Today was the first day back for students after the holiday break and its the last week of regular fulltime classes at the university before finals. A cedar rapids man charged with killing his mother nearly two years ago is back in court. Court. Investigators say 44yearold edward cusic used a crowbar to murder his 68 yearold mother at their home on old marion road. Court documents show cusic is the one who called 911 telling the operator he killed his mother because she threatened him with a knife. An autopsy shows she died of blunt force trauma. If convicted, cusic could spend the rest of his life in prison. Baltimores police chief says the future of the city is at stake as the first trial in the death of freddie gray gets underway. Six Police Officers have been indicted in connection with grays death april 19. Gray was a 25 yearold African American man who was critically injured in the back of a Police Transport van. Jury selection for officer william porters trial began today, while demostrators gathered outside. Porter faces charges of assault, manslaughter, Reckless Endangerment and misconduct in office.
