Lets start with a quick look at the weather with lisa. Good morning to you. We have just about everything out there, heavy downpours, sunny breaks, rain and hail with a little bit of snow mix. Heres live doppler 7 taking you into Mount Hamilton where we have the snow and hail. You can see heavier rain to the north, south of livermore, looking at that downpour moving to the east. To the north, a winter storm warning for lake county through tomorrow. Look at all this mixed presip. On the peninsula theres a heavier cell offshore. You can see highway 1, this continues to rotate to the west from the west to the east and we will look atmore showers throughout the day today. Its a one on the storm impact scale with heavy downpours, mixed presip and minor street flooding. A live look from santa cruz where temperatures are in the low 40s to 50s. Well talk totals and particulars when we see you in a few minutes. In the east bay, some people are waking toup a hailstorm. This is what it looked like around 7 30 this morning in oakland. When you get unusual weather where you live, take a photo or video and share it on social media using hash tag abc 7. S water officials are keeping an eye on the reservoir and coyote creek. It could force water over the spillway. Coyote creek recently flooded in san jose leading to thousands being evacuated from their homes. It caused tens of millions of dollars in damage. Water district Officials Say they are not expecting any problems, but crews are on stand by just in case any issues arise. The supplies are expected to last two weeks. This is a dire situation. I worry people dont understand how severe this really is. Part of the highway is expected to open in a week. They plan to demolish and rebuild the Pfeiffer Canyon bridge. Here is video hoeing the oraville dam after the spillway collapsed. You can see the damage caused by erosion. Water officials have semp rarely shut down a power plant at the dam to make improvements that will allow for increased water releases. The hyatt power plant stopped working after debris formed at the bottom of the dams main spillway. That shut down is expected to last until tomorrow. Developing news out of the east bay. Hayward police are investigating an overnight shooting. It happened around midnight on mandarin avenue near sumatra street. No new information has been released, not at this time, anyway. We are waiting to hear back from police for more details. This morning, the white house is requesting a congressional investigation into President Trumps explosive allegations against former president obama. President trump claims his predecessor wiretapped him during his run for the white house. Abc news reporter, brian ross has the story. A big electrical fire broke out at the walnut creek bart station after 6 00 last night. Abc 7 news viewer shared this video with us of the flames at the station as she was driving by. A sold out art auction and gala a benefit for the Cancer Prevention foundation. Three people were honored for their contribution to end cancer in the Fire Fighting community. Award winning actor b. D. Wong came out to support his brother, a San Francisco firefighter who is helping to lead the effort. In recent years, we discover more and more risks related to chemicals and very specific things that cause cancer and terrible illnesses. The foundation starpted in 2006.
