And tonight, right here, the president has now revealed when and where this facetoface meeting with kim jongun will happen. Reporter the prisoners described their new freedom as a dream, but their experience in north korea sounds more like a nightmare. I had to do a lot of labor, he said. But when i got sick, i was also treated by them. Later, Vice President pence told me one of the men hadnt seen daylight for a very long time. Its heartbreaking to think of it. Reporter but the focus of the kim trump summit is nuclear weapons, not human rights. The north korean dictator and secretary of state mike pompeo were all smiles after meeting for the second time, appearing more like old friends than adversaries. Kim waved goodbye as pompeo drove away. Today, their pictures were plastered on the front page of north koreas state newspaper. Kim is signaling hes willing to give up his nuclear weapons. Do you believe him . I mean, again, somebody described as a mad man, brutal dictator, has killed his own people, starved his own people, allegedly even killed family members, do you believe him . Im told this was such a tongue lashing that it struck several in the Cabinet Meeting as over the top, and one person here at the white house, one senior official says that they have heard that Kirstjen Nielsen had suggested to some that she may resign, as a result of this, although she has put out a statement, saying, the president is rightly frustrated that existing loopholes and the lack of congressional action have prevented this administration from fully securing the border. And then, after sunset in eastern north carolina, it hangs out a bit, until about midnight. Then, weve got to look for the next risk area for tomorrow, with damaging winds and scattered hail. They believe lava could now mix with groundwater that could possibly trigger a massive explosion that they say could hurl rocks as big as cars. Abcs Kayna Whitworth on the scene again tonight. The National Guard took us in and what youre looking at right behind me, this is actually fissure 15. This is the newest fissure that just broke open. The lava in these neighborhoods coming from a crater on mt. Kiluaea 25 miles away. Right here behind me, this is the biggest lava flow in leilani estates. It continues on for at least a half mile, in some places, its about 25 feet high. Now all eyes on the halemaumau crater, where the lava lake has dropped more than 1,000 feet, nearly reaching the groundwater. If that happened, it could create steamdriven explosions, powerful enough to send rocks as large as six feet in diameter, or as heavy as several tons, flying up to a half mile or more. And its usually not just one explosion, its usually a series. And so, as that ash falls and piles up and its just not a safe place to be. The president s embattled attorney and friend, facing growing questions over millions paid to a Shell Company set up by Michael Cohen. That money coming in after the election from major companies. Even a firm with close ties to a russian oligarch. The question now, what was that money for, and was cohen making money off his proximity to the president . Heres abcs chief National Affairs correspondent tom llamas again tonight. Any response to avenatti . His document is inaccurate. How do you feel about, you may have changed an election . Reporter tonight, President Trumps longtime personal attorney, Michael Cohen, firing back against allegations he shopped around access to the president. The charge coming from Stormy Daniels attorney, Michael Avenatti, who published financial details about a company cohen started shortly before the election, essential consultants. Avenatti says cohen used that Shell Company for transactions totaling more than 4 million shortly before the election into 2018. But cohens lawyers say avenatti made some mistakes. In court documents, cohens attorneys say avenatti had the wrong Michael Cohen in some cases. Under possible fraudulent and illegal financial transactions, avenatti lists a Wire Transfer to an account in toronto for 4,250. Cohens attorneys say that account belongs to a different Michael Cohen, a canadian citizen. So, youre talking about 99. 35 of the information that we released is right. You know what . Ill take that. A spokesman for Korean Aerospace industries told the washington post, k. A. I. Was unaware of essential consultants ties to trump. But the Company Tells abc news it wanted cohens llc for consulting on International Financial reporting standards. Its unclear what cohens expertise in this type of accounting is. In another case, pharmaceutical giant novartis, who did business with cohen, points out any agreements with essential consultants were entered into before their current ceo took office in february of this year. Novartis said they did pay cohen 1. 2 million for Health Care Policy matters and access to the new administration, but that cohen was not able to provide these services.
