The people who really need to have it. And this is more from the who and not the cdc. Cdc recommended it for everyone, but most countries, including the who, is recommending it for over 65. Hey, good morning to you. And behind the scenes, on top of getting the current boosters approved and put on the market as early as today in some locations, moderna says they are working on a combination shot that can make everybodys lives just a little bit easier come flu season. The combo shot is for both flu and covid, with both vaccines given as one dose. This has been in the works for a while now, as moderna executives say their combo shot has already been through phase two studies and will be carried into phase three and launching it soon. The goal is to help more people conveniently protect themselves against multiple circulating viruses. If studies continue to go well. Moderna ceo Stephen Hodge says that they could have a combo shot ready by 2025. Many of us get covid and flu vaccines because theyre recommended now universally. But the idea of two shots is somewhat less appealing, less convenient and more expensive than just one, moderna added that they plan to regularly update combinations with improved next generation vaccine candidates as appropriate. Again, that combo shot may not be available until 2025 at the earliest, but you can get your brand new updated covid booster shot as early as today in some locations. Yes, camassia so an Fda Advisory Committee says over the counter oral phenylephrine or p does not relieve congestion in any more than a placebo. P is one of the ingredients in sudafed. P dayquil and also mucinex. Doctors say taking oral p is not harmful but proves to be an effective because its processed by the body before it reaches the nasal passages. Drugs containing p will remain on store shelves as the fda considers if they should stay on the market. Doctors say always read the label when youre picking which decongestant to take. Its always good to look for, you know, 24 hour antihistamines as some examples, you know, are like allegra, claritin, zyrtec, all of those, you know, lasts for 24 hours. They actually help treat the symptoms you know, whereas phenylephrine did not. Doctors say its more important to note that the other ingredient thats found in medications with p, including pain relievers and cough suppressants, are still effective and p is also effective in a nasal spray. The fda did not reveal a timeline for when it will decide if drugs with oral p will stay on the market. Reggie jobina thank you. In an effort to speed things up, the company is shopping for new technology and for innovative ways to bury the lines on the ground. Pgandes is currently hearing pitches from Nine Companies in san ramon with inventions that could make the process less labor and material intensive. So the big advantages to having the lines underground is making the system more reliable, so youre less potential to have weather related events. So less outages. So its safer in the fact that you would have reduced wildfire risk. So were not subjected to having lightning strikes on our lines or having trees fall into the lines. Uh pgandes is hoping to bury 350 miles of cable by the end of this year. A rumored backroom deal for Insurance Companies to get a major bailout in california is dead, at least for now. The plan is for a three Year Agreement starting in 2024. Now were going to bring in ginger zee. Shes in Daytona Beach with a look at whats coming up on gma. Hi. Good morning, ginger. Hey, reggie coomassie, great to be with both of you this morning. So coming up here on gma, i am in daytona, not because there will be any direct impacts from hurricane lee. I mean, the thing is, the center of its nearly 900 miles to my east southeast. But because there will be a high risk of rip currents from here all the way up the coast and because i had to have proximity to jump in a plane with the Hurricane Hunters , because were going to go into it tonight, get that Critical Data that helps to make the forecast and that cone narrow. So ill be able to have this opportunity to see lee from above. Ill share it all with you tomorrow, but of course we are. If you do have travels to boston, i would say, or anywhere in new hampshire, maine, up through nova scotia and new brunswick, i would watch for that. Lee by the weekend to have pretty big impacts. A large wind field with gusts over 40mph. And most importantly, those pounding waves, i mean, in excess of ten feet, even for like the outer banks and jersey shore and such. So actually huge impacts with erosion on theres only one thing that could get me away from the dancing with the stars reveal on gma and that is getting in a plane with Hurricane Hunters. So youll also see that right here on good morning america. So, ginger, now im fascinated about this process. So who goes with you up in the plane . So we have two seats total, myself and then my photographer will be with me. So we will have the opportunity to go up and see that, you know, that thing that so few get to see. But also ive heard it is not the most comfortable ride because this is not a commercial airliner. The temperature can get really cold. It can be very bumpy. I do pretty well with you know, turbulence and stuff. But ive had a lot of friends text me and say, you might want to put something behind your ear. So maybe i will. How close are you tomorrow . How it all went down, how close up are you getting . Well be on top of it. I mean, these guys go so what they do is take instruments and they drop them out of the plane, into the eyewall, into that really, really rough part of the hurricane. So well be real close to getting it because they want to get it in the right place. But then that thing radios back information like temperature pressure, wind speed. And thats how we get that structure of the hurricane. And such a good forecast to know which direction its going to go and when its going to make that turn to the north. All of those things are so important. And this is just the beginning of what they do. Theyre now running saildrones. Theyre testing drone drones that theyll drop out of a plane. Lot going on. But the National Hurricane center. So interesting. Okay. I cant wait to see this coverage and drews over here, i think, drooling. I am drooling. Ginger, this is my dream. Yes. If theres ever an extra ticket, ginger, you know where to send it. 900 front street. Drew thank you, ginger. Well be watching. Good luck. And please be safe. Yes. Isnt that interesting . Drew yeah. And during our crazy winter this past winter, they actually sent those planes over to the west coast to survey our winter storms. So they were crisscrossing them, trying to get new data in because they were so strong for this time of the year. They wanted to know what was inside of them. But you get into the middle of that storm, the roughest part, because they want to find the highest winds, get the rig
