This morning a belgian prosecutor identified two of the attackers. The man in the middle is bra him bakraoui. The man in the light jacket dropped his bomb and took off. That bomb did not explode and the man is still on the loose. The alleged suicide bomber on the left hasnt been identified. Ibrahims brother khalid also died. A suicide note from one of the brothers saying he didnt want to end up in prison like salah abdeslam. Thats the first indication that his arrest friday helped trigger these attacks. Authorities were close to tracking them down. They may have moved up the timetable. During an overnight raid police took anoth unidentified man into custody for questioning. At this time belgian Authorities Say 31 people were killed and 260 others injured. A peruvian mother of twins is the first confirmed fatality. A french airport is now back open after it was evacuated this morning. Travels were briefly stopped at the toulouse airport because of a scare over a package. No word on what was in that package. Back home here in the u. S. , everything is back to normal at atlantas airport after a suspicious package there prompted an evacuation. You can see passengers scrambling to get out of the domestic termen at at harts fd, jackson airport. Bomb sniffing dogs had a positive hit while checking an unattended bag. This is the first full day of travel after the u. S. State department warned americans to be extra cautious while theyre traveling anywhere in europe. The second time now within a year we have attacks in paris, now and a minor attack in germany. Reporter the Brussels Airport was closed again today and already half of the flights are canceled for tomorrow. Because of that, several airlines including american, delta, united, air canada and several european carriers are waiving rebooking fees for passengers. This as the chamber of commerce released a study showing that homelessness is the number one concern among residents here. Whats happening . Reporter hi, reggie. Well, the mayor says hes found an empty hotel that he can put some Homeless People in and give them some shelter. Its called the civic center hotel. Its located at 12th and market and will offer a place to stay for 93 people. And it will be a navigation center. Thats the citys second one. That means it is more than a shelter. It offers services. The mayor says he realizes many people saw this three weeks ago. City crews tearing down a large homeless encampment on and around division street. He called that camp unsafe and unsanitary. With todays announcement he wants residents to know the city has not forgotten those people. What happened on division street and some of these large encampments, that we want to provide the public that we will have longterm answers, that were not just tearing down these encampments so they can pop up someplace else. Were actually handling the lives of these people in a responsible way, getting them into longterm shelters through these transitional navigation centers. Reporter the mayor made the announcement before project homeless connect volunteers this morning. The hotel the city is taking over belongs to the plumbers union. The union has plans to develop the hotel but while they work on those plans and permits, they have agreed to let the city run it for two or three years. The mayor also announced 200 permanent housing units, also located in various hotels. And he put out a plea to all homeowners out there or property owner, if youve got a vacant piece of land or a vacant building, contact the city. They say they can use that space. A tour bus crash in union square that hurt 20 people. Abc 7 has learned San Francisco police have ruled out brake failure as the cause of that november crash. Investigators believe the bus driver might have thought he stepped on the brake while he hit the accelerator while heading eastbound on post street. The bicyclists and barricades, its somewhere that he starts to accelerate rapidly. At some point down the road, he reaches speeds upwards of 45 miles per hour. Police have issued the driver a traffic citation for speeding. They also say he was involved in a previous crash. They didnt disclose any details about that collision. B. A. R. T.
