Take a look behind me. You can see a very Large Police Presence here near martinez and highway 4 in 680, the closest were allow the to be to the shooting scene. Its a block away at falling star road. This happened around 9 45 tonight. There was a highspeed chase through east Contra Costa County and it ended with shots being fired and i believe one person was injured, taken to the hospital. It is not clear who fired those shots. We are getting some reports that it may have been involving a Police Officer. Were getting other reports that it may have involved a juvenile of some kind. It also does appear the police appear to have one person in custody. Right now were still trying to find out more information. The Martinez Police department, the Sheriffs Department, the chp, they are all here and there are several blocks of this street that are closed. You should definitely trying to avoid this area. New at 11 00, a man was shot in front of a San FranciscoSubway Restaurant early this evening, market and mason streets, around 7 00. The victim was taken to San Francisco general and is expected to survive. It is gay pride weekend. Across the nation and the world, communities are celebrating. Many in the group just returned from a historic visit to gay pride in shanghai, china. They look to us because of our experience and knowledge with lgbt history and activism and fundraising. All things that are relatively new to that community. Reporter it was shanghais sixth gay pride celebration, and this video is part of a planned documentary on the history and activism of the sisters of perpetual indulgence. This is the 44th celebration of lgbt pride in San Francisco and it continues tomorrow. The pride parade begins tomorrow morning at 10 30 at beale and Market Street and ends at 7ic center plaza. Developing news out of arizona where firefighters are getting the upper hand on a fire burning since thursday. Lighter winds are helping crews make progress against the 5,000acre fire near the new mexico border. Nearly 100 structures are threatened. Firefighters in cotati say a gas line break and explosions helped fuel a fire this afternoon. Fire started in the homes garage causing acetylene tanks to explode. A gas line ruptured and crews had to wait for pg e to shut off the gas. Everyone was able to get out safely. Today is the start of a nervous week for firefighters. Firework stands open today in some bay area cities. San bruno firefighters handed out a letter from the city explaining the rules to people. The rules dar signed to prevent injuries and fires. Fireworks can only be used on private property in san bruno to make sure people are following the rules firefighters will make extra patrols on july 4th. On tuesday and wednesday this week the lake county sheriffs Narcotics Task force found and destroyed more than 38,000 marijuana plants. The Sheriffs Department sent us these pictures. The plants were growing in corn field fields and on vacant lots. Police in napa are down a patrol car after a man under arrest tried to escape. A man was handcuffed in the back of this patrol car. He had been arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Officers say he somehow got his hands in front of his body and forced his way into the drivers seat. The cruiser ended up on these poles after the man drove through a garage door. The man now faces four additional and more serious charges. Its a four on four sport played just like traditional soccer, except these athletes are in wheelchairs. The bay area outreach and rec program, baorp, play hard. They practice every week in berkeley and the team recently won the National Championship in indianapolis. We trained really hard to win at national. We deserve it. Reporter stanley kwon scored 13 goals that day. The confidence stanley displays now hasnt always been there. Before power soccer, he was a different person. Its lifechanging. Like ever since i started playing. Gained a lot of the confidence, leadership skills. Reporter a range of disabilities are present on this court. But once the ball is down and the game starts, the symptoms seem to disappear. All that exists is the game. The one pushing them toward success is head coach chris finn, who not only led the crushers to a national win, but also took the u. S. National power soccer team to the top during the power chair world cup in brazil last month. Finn admits this sport also changed his life. I played soccer as a little kid and thought to myself, wow. I can play a sport again, after my i suffered my disability. Reporter finn became a quadriplegic after a fall 20 years ago and now he lives and breathes soccer.
