The trial lasted three months and now in just ten hours well hear that longawaited verdict. Theres no higher stakes reporter legal analyst steven clark is surprised the jury in the murder trial reached a verdict after only two days worth of deliberations. What it shows me is this is a group that got to work right away. They worked together collaboratively, factions didnt build up in the jury deliberation room. Reporter Angelina Garcia torres is charged with first degree murder. If found guilty he faces the death penalty. Prosecution says he killed the 15yearold, that his dna was found on her discarded clothing. The defense says the dna evidence is flawed and since sierras body has not been found it is nothing more than a missing persons case. Is it possible sierra lamar could still be alive . If that is the case, that would explain why they came back so quickly, if they felt that the da didnt prove sierra lamar was in fact dead. Investigators say it started when she was under age 14. She is now an adult. Harris faces four felonies. He will be back in court next week.
