Reporter ama, investigators pulled down the crime scene tape that had been surrounding a large perimeter of this park in front of the lake where this man haes body was found. They pulled down that crime scene tape late this afternoon but not before doing Something Else first. They drained the lake soifrping for evidence. San francisco homicide investigators along with the medical Examiners Office spent morning investigating a suspicious death. A city gardner found a mans body facedown in the lake. That the point, all that homicide can say is that it does appear there may have been a strug elf. Reporter investigators drained the lake searching for clues. At least 12 evidence markers line the path outside the lake. At one point officers expanded their perimeter. It looks like there may have been more evidence. Reporter though investigators would not say what. I find it pretty odd it was in the front of the park. Reporter people who walk through the park to get to worker were surprised to see an active crime scene. Betsy ricks says the investigators asked if she recognized the victim. They showed me a picture of an older gentleman, said he was the person who had been found this morning, asked if i had seen him or if we had any camera thats might have picked something up. In San Francisco, melanie woodrow, abc 7 news. Santa rosa police say the shooting of a 15yearold boy last night appears to be an attempted suicide by cop. Officers responded to a coffee park around 11 30 last night after receiving a report of a man with a gun. Now police say an officer shot the boy in the foot when he pointed a handgun at him. Investigators say the weapon the boy had was actually an air soft pellet gun. They believe the boy removed the orange tip so officers would shoot him. They also say the boy was the one who actually phoned in the report of a man about a gun. That boy is now undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. Police are asking for help finding this man. Theyve now been looking for him for more than 24 hours. 53yearold shoe make is accused of setting fire to his vallejo house sunday morning. His son 5yearold died in that fire. Police say shoemake set the home on fire while his family slept reportedly after an argument with his wife. She made it out but suffered severe burns. Her 13yearold son also survived.
