The problem started in 2010 when the military learned of criminal fraud. A California National guard official gave bonuses intended for highly skilled soldiers to others who did not qualify, and Service Members who did nothing wrong with paying for the mistake, people like susan haley asked to repay 15,000 plus interest. A chp officer is recovering and a suspect is in Critical Condition today after a chase ended in a shooting from San Franciscos oceanview neighborhood yesterday. He tolls me that the officer is in fair condition. He has some cuts and a minor head injury. Meanwhile the Police Department has yet to file charges against the suspect, and they have not explained why officers opened fire. Broken glass marks the spot where a chaotic car chase came to an end in San Franciscos oceanview neighborhood tuesday. The suspect was shot multiple times and a chp officer hurt. Police say the suspect was driving a stolen car and tried to run officers over. That car crashed into other parked vehicles and into a house on montana street. This is sad and tragic. They are all very upset and do not think the shooting was justified. He was a nice guy and he didnt deserve that and something needs happen with all of these Police Killing innocent individuals and taking peoples lives for nothing. Reporter there was no gun found on the suspect. One neighbor who did not want her face on camera wants the police to explain why they opened fire. Im surprised that there were there was gunfire and there was no gun found on the civilian, and i wonder why there was gun fryar after the chase. Reporter San Francisco police are leading the investigation. They have not released names in the case or said what happened right before the shooting. They are also investigating what agency fired the shots. Daile daly city and chp from other areas were involved in the chase. Both the officer and suspect survived and are both being treated at sfg hospital. Were learning the identity of the suspects involved in the brazen highspeed chase and shooting. Police have arrested 26yearold vina aroya and 23yearold Thomas Garcia in connection with the incident. Garcia is accused of shooting at officers. A third suspect, james cruz, is still on the run. Sky 7 is live over thornton state beach where the whale washed ashore a little more than an hour ago. The Marine Mammal center say they believe its a male blue whale.
