On sunday afternoon students and faculty will gather for a vigil to mourn the passing of gonzalez and the other victims at the paris attacks. Abc7 News Reporter cynthia spoke with people at the vigil and has this story. People held candles and they wrote out messages. These two from daly city fondly remember one of their first trips to paris to. Its where he proposed. Everybody loves paris, whether you have been there or not. This morning we are learning more about that tour bus driver involved in a destructive crash in San Francisco. An estimated 20 people were injured in the friday collision. Sky 7hd shows several of them being put on stretchers. Abc7 News Reporter melody woodrow spoke with the bus drivers wife. She said her husband doing okay. She asked me not to release his name. She tells me he has a broken ribs, a scratch on his head and a fractured ankle. I asked her what happened. She said her husband said the tour bus brakes were not working. The because was stop and go all day. He told her he was trying not to hurt passengers when he crashed into the staff folding. We are getting a look at video that shows the terrifying moments the series of accidents dan. You can see the tour bus hit a bicyclist. He then hit several cars and another tour bus before crashing into scaffolding. Approximately 30 people were on board. Estimates for as many as 20 were injured. Seven of the most seriously hurt remain at San Francisco general hospital, including the bus driver. According to hospital officials, four patients are in Critical Condition. Two in serious condition. They have facial and head injuries, as well as fractures and injuries to internal organs. It had to have been terrifying. Its the same eviction notice for everyone at Bay View Apartments. The new owner said he needs to renovate. We say rescind the evictions. They should be allowed to stay in place while the necessary repairs are done. This is exact lick the story some Council Members were trying to avoid this month when they voted ford a moratorium. It is not moral. I think it is not just. And i think its abhorrent they took these steps to evict these residents less than a week after we passed the moratorium on nofault evictions. There is a wind advisory throughout the day, especially along the coastal areas and around the bay shoreline. So weve got winds reaching up to 35 Miles Per Hour, but gusts can reach up to 50 Miles Per Hour and, of course, this creates danger and potential for downed trees and powerlines. [pounding] you might not otherwise compare a construction site to an operating room but as crews work to build the massive New California University Medical center in San Francisco, you will find surgical peelcision. We will be taking a look at the level five zone three. Across the street a dozen engineers sit into a control room gazing into a powerful 3d version of the unfinished hospital. Its a virtual mirror of the project that changes almost hourly as crews finish the smallest details. The idea isnt just to track the work, its a manage it. This type of thing happened every single day. Project engineer, josh, said the 3d software allows the team to search for potential conflicts in realtime. The team we just saw inside is reviewing and identifying over a thousand issues a week. First it helps to understand hospitals are made of dozen of competing systems from specialized ventilation to backup power to structural engineering, all being installed by different contractors. In this case the conflict is a Fire Suppression system that needs to be raised closer to the ceiling to make ways for cars. They requested a series of penetrations through the beams, and they do not have it. The project manager showed us the solution.
