Everyone is working and all vacations have been cancelled. With an extra one Million People in the city for pride weekend, and with recent terrorist attacks taking place worldwide, everyone is on high alert. Make us aware that things are more real now. Reporter police made with bar owners this month to talk about safety protocols. Phas five times more security er than usual this weekend. Last year we had pulse right before pride, and we felt we needed to elevate our security then. And were doing the same thing this year just to keep our customers safe and the neighborhood safe as well. Reporter at the celebrations at civic center plaza. There is increased security screening, attendees have to go through metal detectors and have bags checked. Police are in crowds, in plain clothes, and on rooftops. Its a group that is named after Christopher Andrew who was one of the 49 People Killed at pulse last year. The nonprofit gives scholarships for members of the Lgbt Community and provides a leadership opportunity.
