Sky 7 was over the scene near hayward yesterday where you can see the stroller among bullet marks. The baby was not hurt and is now in protective custody. That shooting happened on willow at meekland avenue in an area known as cherryland. Investigators say the gunman may have targeted his victim. A young man, we believe he is the father of the child. Moving forward, were concerned about threats to that family, so right now, were going to keep all that confidential. Investigators are now talking to people in the neighborhood, trying to get Surveillance Video from neighbors. Happening today, o. J. I want to show you this new video thats just coming in from colorado. Overnight, there was a vigil held there for victims of the 2012 aurora theater shooting. Today is actually the fifth anniversary of that shooting. And i quickly want to show you this. You can see the victims being remembered there with a moment of silence and a candlelight vig vigil. It was five years ago when james holmes went to the midnight viewing of the Dark Knight Rises and started firing his weapons. 12 people died. Dozens were injured. Holmes is now serving a prison sentence of 12 life sentences. Back to you. Thank you. The Santa Clara CountySheriffs Office is investigating over an inmate overdose caused a jail lockdown. A total of four prisoners got sick yesterday. Three have been released from the hospital and are now back in jail. The fourth is expected to make a full recovery. Investigators are trying to figure out what they ingested and how the drugs got into the jail. Prison reform advocates believe part of the problem is jail understaffing. In its latest budget, the Sheriffs Office received funding to install body scanners in the jail. It will be similar to the body scanners at the airport, so theyll be able to hopefully defect some of these substances. The inmates were held in medium Security Protective custody. The investigation will determine if they will face any additional charges. New this morning, a Bay Area Company claims its found a way to measure whether drivers are high on marijuana behind the wheel. As california prepares to legalize medical legalize Recreational Marijuana next year, the test could provide Law Enforcement with a much needed tool. Carolyn tyler gives us a closer look. Reporter at sobriety check points, police are looking for drivers who may be impaired. Marijuana has become just as strong if not stronger of a problem with driving as alcohol. Identifying them takes a field sobriety test. Oakland based town labs wants to make that easier. Its been working on a breathalyzer for pot that measures the amount of thc in a persons breath. The company gave us this video of its first field driving test. They got people stoned and then put them through an Obstacle Course of common roadside hazards. The whole point of this test was to show what happens when you get impaired. Drivers navigating the course sober and then smoked marijuana 30 minutes before driving the same course again at speeds up to 60 Miles Per Hour. When they were stoned, even when the levels of thc were low, meaning they didnt smoke very much, some smokes a lot, some smoked little, they all made major errors.
