Pretty heavy. Yes. Ive got lung disease. So, yeah, ive already used my inhaler. This is as close as i could get, but it is pretty crazy. Could you see the smoke from san jose . Yeah. It is thick and covered the whole sky. You could see the whole line. Reporter people are seeing white smoke so i think that means that it is this this fire is finally dying down, hopefully. Now if you have health issues, im going to tell you to please stay home for your safety. Im live in newark, lyanne melendez, abc 7 news. Absolutely. Thanks very much. Right now lets get right to Spencer Christian monitoring the wind conditions. Oops. I couldnt hear you, kristen, but lets look at live doppler 7 hd. Down to first were looking at sky 7 hd. I didnt mean to say live doppler 7. Were looking at the smoke rising from the fire. Thick plumes of dark smoke as you pointed out. Let me look at weather conditions near the fire. Well take you down to street level. It is 69 degrees right now in newark. Relative humidity is up to 73 . That is an encourage factor. The wind is light out of the northwest at 5 Miles Per Hour with occasional gusts up to 10 Miles Per Hour. So we dont have heavy wind which is a good thing. It is not Strong Enough to hamper the Fire Fighting effort or fan the flames. But it is just Strong Enough to continue carrying smoke away from the nearby neighborhoods and communities and disburse the smoke just a little bit. So here is what we can expect over the next oh, hour or so. Winds will remain out of the northwest at 510 Miles Per Hour, pushing the smoke to the south and east and newark and fremont could expect poor air quality as long as the fire continues to burn. So ill have a further update later. Spencer, thanks very much. And now we want to show you video sent to us by viewers here. And jeff from a train riding on the train and he shot the smoke. He said the train was delayed a little bit. And ace is also tweeting that could continue around the fire scene. But quite an incredible video there. Great video there. And so is this from vanessa crane on smith street which is off of cherry. Again it looks look a couple of blocks away and she was able to document the extent of the smoke pouring into the sky. And another tweeted video from our viewers who has a streetlevel picture. You could see a dramatic picture with the fire engine on the bottom and the smoke rising above it. Just thick, black smoke permeating through the air there. And now the subject of the smoke, lisa gay lon from tram at great america, from the tram, got this shot and asked if the smoke is toxic. Well it is, in fact, toxic. We had a woman on from bay area air quality during the news at 4 00. All smoke of course is toxic. These are plastics that are burning. But much of the plastic material actually is burned up in the fire. But still, a particulate matter from the smoke itself does go into the atmosphere and you do not want to breathe that. Good tips. And share your photos or videos using the abc 7 news. Amazing pictures. Thank you to our viewers into well continue to follow this of course. Get up dates sent directly to you by downloading the abc 7 news app. And enable the push alerts an well let you know immediately as things happen. Now to the other big story, the tragedy in dallas.
