More than 1,000 students apt a Spanish Immersion School in windsor were exposed to racist graffiti this morning after vandals spray painted the hate messages all over the school. Reporter this is the dropoff zone. This is where parents and students pulled up this morning and found scrawled on a lot of the walls messages like trump 2016 and build the wall higher. Its painted over here right now, but as you can imagine those messages sent a wave of shock through this campus. Reporter reporter build the wall higher was scrawled across the wall and the messages greeted kindergarteners as they arrived this morning. The messages were spray painted in black, gold and silliter on trash cans and doors across the campus. 75 students here at the academy are latino. The mom said i saw it and was upset and walked into the bathroom and just started to cry, and its its something that that strikes deep at an emotion. When you do something or Say Something that threatens a childs feeling of safety, that is not okay. I think its disgusting that people would do that. Police tell us officers responded to this home on addison street around 1 30 p. M. And found a man in his 40s dead from a gunshot wound. Were going to continue monitoring the situation, and well bring you updates on the abc 7 news app. Police have arrested a teenager in the strongarmed robbery of a man near San Franciscos cliff house. 19yearold Jacobo Padilla is one of five people suspected of targeting the victim. It happened on october 5th. This is Surveillance Video of that attack. Police say the victim was taking pictures when two men grabbed his camera on the top of the screen there. You can see the victim being dragged by the getaway car. The subject jumped in the car while the victim was Still Holding on to the camera and actually dragged him in the middle of the street causing abrasions to his arms. He got dragged for about ten feet. One of the robbers was left behind by the getaway car. He ran down the highway trying to catch up and there you see him trying to catch his comrades. An East Palo Alto landlord and son have been arrested accused of harassing rentcontrolled tennants. Police say car windows were smashed out and damaged Property North to scare tennants in order to move ow. The landlords son is expected of calling a witness and telling that person not to cooperate with the investigation. Richmond firefighters snuffed out a small roadside fire near the citys shore line this afternoon. Sky 7 spotted the smoke and flames near bay view area close to the Point Isabelle regional shore line. The small fire burned grass and dry brush. Firefighters quickly put it out. Sky 7 was also over this fire that damaged a North Oakland home this afternoon. It happened on Market Street near 55th. Fire crews quickly extinguished the blaze before it threatened neighborsing homes. The cause sunday investigation. And a ferry crew rescued a man in San Francisco bay this afternoon. Abc 7 news was at the fairy building as rescuers treat that had man. Witnesses say the man you see there jumped into the water and then couldnt get back on land. The crew of a golden gate ferry threw him life preservers and pulled him on board. All right. It may seem like a long shomt but there is guarded optimism in oakland that a deal can be done to keep raiders from moving to las vegas. A lot of wheeling and dealing. Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott who played for both the 49ers and raiders is putting together a group of investors to try to keep the raiders in oakland. A lot of moving parts in this Investment Group and dealing with the city of oakland. Las vegas has a head start but ronny thinks his group can make a big push. Ronnie lott began his quest to help find a stadium solution in oakland about a year ago when former raider quarterback and fellow usc alum approached him. Lott said yes and the two arranged a meeting with owner mark davis. If you can get the city and county together and if you can bring the land or a deal to me where you have that, thats really the the opportunity. Since then its been lotts mission to assemble a team and get city and county leaders on board all working together. He says the response has been overwhelming. Its not just one person. Its a number of people who have said that they want to contribute not just who they are, they want to contribute dollars and cents to this effort. Oakland needs to get to work on its effort. Last week nevadas governor signed legislation approving a record 750 million in public funds for a new stadium in las vegas for the raiders. Davis announced hes all in.
