Thats switching things up a little bit this morning. We have this patchy area of cloud cover that pushes on through. We are looking at temperatures on the cool side. But we are definitely cooler than we were yesterday even with the clouds. Yesterday more of that cloud cover insulated us, but this morning we had most of the night clear and now we are getting into some cloud cover so temperatures ranging from the upper 30s, redwood city and oakland, to 47 San Francisco, 46 for you in san jose with the coast in the upper 40s. So we are about a degree to seven degrees cooler than yesterday with temperatures in the mid30s with the fog in napa. Santa rosa 38. Fog livermore at 39 and the numbers dropping through the upper 30s in concord as well. So this morning we are looking at the fog. Then by the afternoon a return to the sunshine. But the surf will build so thats a concern for some of you if you are going to be outside enjoying the beach with near record warmth headed our way by tuesday and wednesday. So the pressure gradients will continue to tighten and build throughout tomorrow, the beginning of the work week. So the fog has been a problem in livermore. Oakland you are better at ten miles. But still looking foggy up in the napa valley and the coast is cool right now with five mile visibility. Heres the swell. It continues to build. The buies offshore at 18 feet now at 14 seconds. Very strong seas with the possibility of rip current and sneaker waves. Looking at whats ahead, the clouds clear on out. By the afternoon we are nice and sunny again. We will wait a couple days on our warmup but the overall picture shows High Pressure. Its offshore but its a strong ridge. It will continue to build closer to the coast and that allows the storm track to stay far away. In fact, the stronger it builds, we will see the offshore flow and that allows for temperatures to really climb to as much as 15 to 20 degrees above average highs. So today most of you out of the 50s except at the coast. Upper 50s here in clear lake 58. Otherwise milder numbers from oakland at 64. 63 in fremont and san jose with santa cruz up to the mid60s. Vallejo 61 degrees and the accuweather sevenday forecast then looking at temperatures coming up a few more degrees tomorrow. So warmer.
