Golart his her uncle was funny and loving but he also struggled with Mental Illness and copd. On tuesday night he was on the verge of not only taking his life but his aunts, as well. He took not only his life but he also considered of taking his wifes life. They said it means a lot for so many to show solidarity at a time they need it most. It helps all of us to get through the process of grieving and coping with the loss of an officer who was doing his job. It shows everyone that officers are here to help us and to protect us. He gave his life. Here at city hall, hundreds turned out for the second vigil of the night as people paid their respects. The vigil was another reminder to thank those who serve every day. Its a little overwhelming in the sense that there are a lot of people out there that really do care about us. And donations have been pouring in for johnsons family.
