Michael goldman of the university of San Francisco to talk about this event from the academic and intellectual perspective. The first one seems so innocent by comparison but it was the sentinel moment of what is a single event now worth 500 million brand dollars, as we call it. Was it innocent back then . Is it innocent now . And our flag was still there begin with the patriotic themes, the reds, the whites, the blues. We see them every year. Oh, beautiful for spacious skies last the year we had america the beautiful and the military was on display. These proud men and women are assigned to active guard units. They are a constant at super bowls. A show designed not only for american audiences but they are also about how we portray ourselves to the rest of the world. The unveiling of the flag, the flyovers. The land of the free the military involvement. The moments of silence. This is a strong kind of indicator of whats important to American Society and thats reflected in its most important event. The play clock at 5. So as you watch the game this year, take a step back and look at the broader view. Im thinking many people, the game doesnt matter as much as the rest of the experience and the rest of the value they get from the event. And into the 70s for monday and tuesday. So this is a forecast for tomorrow with low 70s in our east bay. Our inlapped east bay. Look at that. 76 . Thats right on through tuesday. So it looks like we arent going to see the cooldown until later on in the work week when the rimming shifts to the east and it breaks down. So look at san jose the next seven days.
