Illegal fireworks are to blame for a onealarm house fire. This happened around 1 15 this morning. The garage suffered the brunt of the damage but the family is now out of the house. The fire caused 100,000 worth of damage. No one there was hurt. Developing news, San Jose Police are investigating an officerinvolved shooting. Jessica castro joins us live in san jose with what the family says happened before their loved one was killed. Jessica. Reporter matt, good morning. It was a teenager who was shot here and that family probably only now trying to get some shuteye after a very traumatic past 13 hours. By all accounts a really quiet neighborhood is what weve seen this morning as well. The police just wrapped up their investigation. Take a look, it was a much different story when they got here to this home yesterday. A man claiming to be the teenagers uncle told abc 7 news the victim was 18 years old, had been depressed and tried to kill himself before cops arrived. But it is still unclear why police fired on the teen. Abc 7 news talked to witnesses. It was crazy. It was really surreal to see Something Like this in this neighborhood. Like nothing really happens like that here that often. Reporter and now as the morning gets going, we are hoping to get more details from police. When we got out here to the scene, we were seeing some police cars out here. They wrapped up, rolled up the police tape, which means they spent about 12 hours here on scene investigating only part of a very lengthy investigation now under way. The flight was headed to tel aviv from jfk when the airline received an anonymous bomb threat. Military jets from france and switzerland were deployed. Authorities found the body of 19yearold beau solomon in a river yesterday. He went missing just hours after arriving in italy for a trip to study abroad. His family says beau was a stellar student and a proud cancer survivor. Over 15 to 20 procedures growing up throughout his life and was able to overcome all of that. His school in rome said he was last seen in a pub with friends. Thousands of dollars had been charged on solomons credit card in milan, miles from where he was found. Happening today, a los gatos couple facing charges for sexually abusing their adopted son are expected to appear in court. This was an exclusive iteam story. The alleged victim, dennis flynn, is now 23 years old. He filed a lawsuit in march. Court records show dennis told police his adoptive father, ralph flynn, began abusing him after he arrived in the u. S. When he was 9. He says his adoptive mother, carolyn flynn, joined in when he was 15. The couple faces 44 criminal charges. They are expected to be in court this afternoon. Marin county supervisors spending hundreds of thousands of dollars in an effort to put a dent in the Affordable Housing crisis. According to the marin independent journal, the supervisors will spend 450,000 on the section 8 program. Under that program low income families pay 30 of their income for rent. Marin housing pays the remainder of the rent and the Housing Authority will try to entice land lowers to accept more of these section 8 vouchers. Heads up if you drive on the golden gate bridge. A new lane configuration goes into effect today. Heres a live look at the bridge right now. Adding an extra northbound lane for the afternoon commute has caused long backups for southbound drivers because they lose a lane. Starting today, the extra northbound lane will only be in effect for 30 minutes instead of a full hour. Northbound traffic will only had the extra lane from 4 00 to 4 30 tuesdays through fridays. Happening today, pretrial motions are beginning for the fourth Baltimore Police officer to be tried in the death of freddie gray. Lieutenant brian rice is facing four charges. Among them manslaughter and assault. Gray died last year after suffering a spinal injury that occurred while being driven in a police van. Rice is expected to ask for a bench trial with no jury before the same judge who acquitted two other officers in the gray case. A third officers proceeding was declared a mistrial.
