Newly released video shows theres a disturbing scene of Chicago Police officers shooting and killing an unarmed black man. Seeds james comey, director of the fbi addressed that barrage of bullets last night at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Leslie brinkley has the story. [sirens] [gunshots] a dashcam and body cam captured a Dramatic Police encounter in south chicago, showing two officers firing at a 18yearold car theft suspect in a stolen vehicle. And the third officer firing at him as he ran. Officers can be heard saying, they shot at us too, right . As they curse at the 18yearold suspect as he lay on the ground dying. That graphic encounter and other recent Police Shootings were addressed tonight by fbi director james comey. He gave a keynote address at the Moscone Center. Each perceived attack drives them farther apart. This is a big, big problem for a whole lot of reasons and the only answer is we have to get up close to each other because its hard to hit upclose. And we have to get upclose to each other and show each other the true heart, Law Enforcement and the communities we direct. How to control it . He suggests starting at the top. We have a crisis in the fbi today. 83 of our special agents are white. He says that makes the fbi dangerously less effective as the culture changes. He says changing the culture requires who is recited and trained as police and suspects clashed on the streets of the our major cities. Leslie brinkley, abc7 news. Police arrested a hayward woman last night after finding a man shot to death at a home earlier in the day. Officers were responding to a Domestic Violence call afternoon yesterday when they found the man dead. Our media partner of the east bay times reports a woman in her 60s was arrested. The man was between 55 and 65 years old. They havent said if they are married or if they own the home. And the San FranciscoPolice Officers association is drawing some harsh criticism. It shows dogs wearing signs say black labs matter and all labs matter. Next to the photo are the words maybe its time we just all sit back and tone down the rhetoric. Critics call it insensitive while others dont feel its a big deal. It was dehumanizing and i was appalled once again at the conduct and actions of the San FranciscoPolice Officers association. Its simply pointing out that there needs to be less polarization in this country between the races and between the communities and Law Enforcement. San francisco Police OfficersAssociation Says it has no comment. Renters in san jose are becoming proactive in Getting Better living conditions. The renters say they are tired of bedbugs and poor conditions. She lives at 1991 story road in san jose. Shes one of nine plaintiffs suing their landlords for what they call substandard conditions, including bedbugs and cockroaches. [foreign language] veronica said the kids have bites all over their bodies and it worries her because the bugs can carry disease. In addition to the bugs and mold, the lawsuit also alleges that the water in the apartments is sometimes discolored and that it smells and in veronicas case that it has been turned off without notice. The lawsuit stems from a fire that broke out in one of the units in june of 2015. Two children were badly burned. The attorney for the family said after the fire, city authorities began investigating. Our Code Enforcement team has been working this for a long time. He talked to the director of communications for san jose. He says inspectors found faulty wiring sparked the fire. He said they have been replacing wiring and equipment to make the property safer. But an organizer with the Affordable Housing network said problems persist. Some of them were corrected, but others were not corrected and some of them have reappeared. Sandy perry is helping the tenants take their current complaints to Code Enforcement to make sure they are heard. [speaking foreign language] veronica said they want the apartments to be perfect so they can live better, especially since the rent keeps going up. The landlord has not responded to our request for a comment. In san jose, katie, abc7 news. The mayor of stockton does not deny playing strip poker with a group of teenagers but insists he didnt do anything criminal. Yesterday the mayor Anthony Silva called a news officer one day after federal officers arrested him for crimes against children at his youth camp. He says hes innocent. Everyone there was 18 years old. Number two, i never, ever, ever endangered a child, ever. Number three, i never provided alcohol to anyone. And i certainly did not secretly record anyone a teenage girl told investigators everyone was naked at some point during the poker game. Beer and vodka was present and a lot of counselors were also drinking. Now to a sports scandal in the way area. Theres an internal investigation after a hidden camera was found in the oakland as weight room. Strength and conditioning coach set it up last month ahead of a team road trip. He wanted to monitor players as they worked out and rehabbed injuries. A player discovered it a day later. A mistake that somebody made that didnt have any malicious intent behind it. Cal fire is hosting a Community Meeting in winters to provide information and answers about the effected fire and how it affects those evacuated. All evacuations were lifted yesterday as firefighters battled the fire in yellow county. Its now 30 contained. Yesterday crews spotted a drone, forcing them to stop making air drops. They hope cooler whether this weekend will help them control the flames. In Monterey County a center will be open for victims of that fire. County and state agencies will be at the Carmel Mission inn starting at 9 00 a. M. They are making block against the fire. Its now 40 contained. It was sparked by an illegal campfire. We learned a San FranciscoFire Department paramedic was arrested and charged with setting off an explosive device outside his neighbors home. It may have been a similarmerring baths between Parking Spaces. Vic lee broke the story. We have details. 32yearold Fire Department paramedic James Novello was arrested and charged with detonating the explosive device early wednesday morning. Police sources tell abc7 news he set off a bomb in planter box in front of a neighbors house on the 100 block of madrid street. This neighbor said she heard the explosion just after she came home from work around 2 00 in the morning. Elias cabrera lives across the street. [speaking foreign language] a lot of the neighbors around here. A police force tells us just after the explosion one resident saw the suspect standing outside his home. A search of his house, police say, turned up explosive materials. Another neighbor, police say, reported that his home had been vandalized that same night. And at least half a dozen cars parked on the street near novellos home had their tires slashed. Then somebody slashed his tires. Slashed his tires . Yeah. Most of the neighbors we spoke with did not want to go on camera for fear of retaliation. They dont know who slashed the tires and vandalized the home, but they do tell us theres been a longstanding battle with novello over Parking Spaces on the street. If you put your car in front. His house, he he gets mad . Yeah, he gets mad. You park down there. The Fire Department says they are aware of the arrest and is currently working with sfpd to investigate this personnel matter. The cell phone video captured the moment a railing collapsed at a snoop dogg concert, injuring at least 42 people. It happened last night in camden, new jersey.
