The metropolitan Transportation Commission found on average about one in four drivers in those carpool lanes during the afternoon commute should not be there. And now they want some extra money to go after you. On highway 101 near redwood city, that rate is actually closer to one in three drivers. The bay area Transportation Commission is asking for extra patrols just for highway enforcement. The Santa Cruz Sentinel sent an urgent directive to sacramento asking for a change to an existing bill. I think its a good idea.
