Reporter this has been one of the nagging trouble spots all afternoon. Behind me that road behind me is the road that leads up to berkeley camp. As best we can tell, that is still apparently threatened by the fire thats burning behind me. Fire crews apparently were able to save some yurts in the area and theyre keeping an eye on some cabins. We dont have any reports of any damage at this point, but the winds have been making matters worse up here in the sierra. Like a welltimed bucket brigade, several helicopters tried to snuff out the fire that would not go away. On the western side, fire crews are taking preventive measures to keep the flames from reaching more populated areas. This clearing will help if the fire moves toward twain hart and tuolumne city. True survivors here. We dont know whats going on either, but we know were safe here. Reporter sandy valdez and her husband leave in that area. They decided to leave on their own. Reporter ama, a man, a woman, a 12yearold girl and an 8yearold are being treated in the hospital for nonlifethreatening injuries. Police still need any leads they can get. We have video at the scene. It happened about 2 30 this afternoon at 104th and graffian in east oakland. About eight blocks are still closed off surrounding the shooting scene. Police are still in their preliminary stables of investigating. The lieutenant tells me about a dozen officers were there making sure that everyone else in the neighborhood was safe. They were trying to determine if anyone else was hit by any stray bullets. Good news, im told about the 12yearold victim, though. Take a listen. Theres nothing life threatening whatsoever. She is with her mother. Everything appears to be okay at this moment. But we want to get other information to find out what happened.
