The fireworks coming up. Forecast is ever so important, drew. Its going to be great. Clear skies. Great visibility for the fireworks. Its going to be chilly out there. Well talk about the numbers. Had a busy month tracking soaking showers. San francisco picked up more than five inches of rain this month, so were going to end the month on a rather quiet note. A live look from our emeryville camera. Gorgeous Crystal Clear night. No fog, no low clouds in the forecast. Its going to call for that cold new years eve celebration. Were going to start 2016 with lots of sunshine, but rather Cool Temperatures, and then well track our next chance of rain moving into the forecast sunday night. Out there tonight, its all about the numbers. Down to 40 in napa. 46 oakland. A cool 49 san jose. Fairfield chilly at 38. And San Francisco right now sitting at 50 degrees. So if you are headed to San Francisco to see the fireworks along the bay, youll see temperatures holding in the low 40s, but you factor in that north wind and thats going to make it feel more like the mid 30s whn we talk about the windchills. As we head into san jose, your hour by hour forecast overnight tonight will hold onto the lower 40s through 8 00 and then will zip into the 30s by midnight tonight, around 37 degrees. Your overnight low in san jose, the south bay chilly right around 32 degrees. Oakland will be cool as well. By 4 00, well warm into the low and mid 50s. Kind of similar to today. By 7 00, plenty of stars out there. And well quickly be cooling off. Then well track on the first chance of rain coming in on sunday night. This is going to be a light storm on our storm impact scale. Less than half of an inch of rain and very light winds. So future weather will pick it up sunday evening into monday morning. Just some very light showers overspread the region. Rain likely first thing monday morning. Its a quickmoving system. So this thing is already out of here by midday on monday. Future tracker rainfall amount shows you less than half of an inch. I think most spots may end up with right around a quarter of an inch of rain. So not a big soaking storm by any means. A stronger storm looks to arrive here on tuesday. Away from the bayshore line where you can cena pa dropping to 25. 30 overnight in antioch. 28 in concord. 36 oakland. 32 san jose. 40 overnight in San Francisco<\/a>. So tomorrow, after that frosty start, its going to be a nicelooking day to the year of 2016 on this first day of january. Look at this. Bright and brisk by noon. Lots of sunshine. This one looks to be a two on our storm impact scale. Moderate storm. It has rain, but it also has the addition of gusty winds. So future weather will jump ahead to your tuesday morning. I think tuesday morning, this is when well likely see gusty winds between 20 and say 40 Miles Per Hour<\/a> along with the soaking showers. And these showers look to even last with another wave of rain into wednesday, and wednesday itself looks rather wet as well. So the sevenday forecast, its a bright but chilly start to 2016. Clouds arrive on saturday. A chance of rain late sunday and into monday. A stronger storm arrives on tuesday, and rain chances of wednesday and thursday. Were ready. Thanks for the warning. Thanks, drew. When we continue, we have the heartbreaking story of smurf, the 8weekold kitten.
