A convicted child molester has been arrested in connection with a 1984 court case kidnapping and killing of a 3yearold boy from fairfield. Abc7 news is in the newsroom with the breaking details. Reporter a 55yearold man serving a 20 year sentence has been charged with first degree murder with special circumstances and kidnapping for ransom. This was the 3yearold when taken from the bedroom of his home it was august, 1984. The kidnapper left a note demanding money. Despite the fbi and commute searching little clark was never seen again. Solano county Prosecutor Says the Police Cold Case unit looked at the case again in 2011 and evidence led them to this man. He was 23 years old at the time, and friends with the boys family. He was later convicted of several counts of child molestation. Prosecutors say he will be transferred to face new charges and police have not said if the body has been found. Crews took one person to the hospital at the north end of lake merced. There is no word on what caused this accident. A cal soft ball coach had to be rushed to the hospital after being hit in the head by a soft ball. Tammy loehmann was in the dug out. A batter hit a foul ball to her head. Right now, doctors are running tests to determine the severity of the injury. Happening now, a rally in the middle of a week long hunger strike. Abc7 news is live outside San Francisco Police Departments mission station. Protestors have gathered to support those in the middle of what is now a sevenday strike. Activists want the police chief to step down. That is not the only problem facing the chief and mayor tonight. Were taking a look at a batch of racist and homophobic Text Messages that we havent seen before sent by police officers. One text reads, quote, like a pack of wild animals on the loose. This text was found on the phone of former officer jason lye when under investigation for sexual assault. Vic lee is live with a look at what this means for the department. Vic, its a black eye, certainly. Yes. What this means is that basically the officers in the department will have to go through more training. That is according to police chief greg suhr. Just to be clear, the core of the scandal has not changed these weeks. What we do have are the contents of the offensive Text Messages and know how many cases the public defender is reviewing that are involving those officers implicated in the scandal. This is a person that is fully committed to expressing his bias to his friends. The Text Messages seized from officer jason lyes phone are disparaging african americans. The way this comes on the heels of another revealed last year following an unrelated corruption trial. 14 officers were caught exchanging offensive texts. Family members found the two bodies sunday. Police say it was not a murder suicide but theyre not saying much else. Friends say the two were peace loving and generous. That is why this is so difficult to reconcile to the tragic violence. And to such simple, gentle souls. The note also said his mother begged for her life. San jose police say they have not been able to locate the couples older son to question him. Detectives say he is not considered a suspect, but may have information regarding the incident. Police say they were able to locate the couples younger son.
