He was armed with a metal rake, pounding on the door of a house saying he was going to kill the people inside. Officers tased him first, but when it was not effective, an officer shot and killed him. His family says he suffered from Mental Illness. Tonights vigil starts at 7 30 atwater and front street in santa cruz anniversary of when this man was shot, he was holding a replica of an ak37.
