The bay area isnt the only place getting rain today. A winter storm has wreaked havoc in Southern California killing at least four people. Take a look at this. Two cars fell into a massive sipghole. The first car fell into the crumbling roadway in studio city last night. One driver had to be pulled free and was taken to the hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time. A short time later a second car fell in. The driver had already gotten out. Crews pulled one of the cars out of the sinkhole so far. They are trying to do that without causing any more damage to the road. And just as incredible, a fire engine falling into a collapsed road. Just incredible video. This is on interstate 15 in San Bernardino county. It happened last night. Every firefighter got out safely before it fell, luckily. Southern california is getting records amount of rain. As much as six inches in some areas. One of those people who died in Southern California was found inside a car that was completely s submerged. Several other cars were being swept away as it turns streets into rivers. Back here in bay area in napa falling trees destroyed two garages yesterday. Two cars were crushed by the force of the fall and the other damage just a couple blocks away on first street. And if youre headed to the sierra this weekend, be sure to pack your chains. An oakland man shot by police during a standoff yesterday has died. He went on a bizarre shooting rampage at his home near the brooklyn zoo. After an hour police shot Jesse Enjaian. Sergio quintana said he has been shooting up the neighborhood for the last week. Reporter he fired at officers from his secondstory wind sxoe fired from his front lawn. He was ultimately shot by police and died several hours after being rushed to a local hospital. Neighbors tell us this isnt the first time that Jesse Enjaian shot up the neighborhood. He shot up my sons friends car and tuesday night shot up two cars on the street. Reporter neighbor Clifton Simpson said the police were called both times but he was not taken into custody. Residents have since been on edge. You dont know what this guy is going to do. If he did that twice, you dont know when hes going to snap. Reporter a Police Spokesperson could not confirm how many times officers have been here. That is part of their ongoing investigation. One neighbor who didnt want to talk on camera said the shootout was startling. As i pulled the shade back, i heard more rounds and so i thought well maybe someone shooting at me. Reporter at one point he painted something on his neighbors garage and even pointed his rifle at our sky 7 chopper as it hovered overhead. He was shot shortly after that. His neighbor should have been arrested days ago. If you were to describe this are you mad, sad, angry, freaked out . They should have got him friday knignight night. It is not clear what set off the shooting spree. Now enjaian grew up at American High School and was on the swim team. A district spokesperson said he was a good student there. In 2013 he earned his law degree from the university of michigan. During his time there they investigated him for stalking another student. He was never charged. Train trouble for cal train. Its delaying grant money that would electroify the train line. As kate larsen explains, it could keep cal train from modernizing and growing. Reporter the trump administrations first big blow to the bay area is leaving cal train in the lurch. The federal government is putting a hold on 647 million meant to electroify the old diesel trains and save money and increase ridership. But to cal train officials the decision to defer the money is a potential deal killer because the construction contract deadlines are in 12 days. It is shovel ready now. We cant proceed with construction unless we have a notice to proceed. The viability of the project is really in question. Reporter 60,000 people ride cal train between San Francisco and the south bay every day. Now, many are concerned that without the 647 million, the Train Service wont continue to grow. Some days were bursting at the seams where the entire train is completely crowded. Just wall to wall people because thats the demand. The demand is very high for sure. We live in the Silicon Valley and we should be more advanced than having diesel trains. Some taxi drivers are calling for more Safety Measures on a road near the Oakland Airport after a car plunged am to the water yesterday morning killing the driver. Its the second time this has happened on dolittle drive in the last six weeks. The crumpled sedan was pulled out just before noon. In Southern California a tree came crashing down yesterday afternoon on a townhouse in san diego. The tree fell on a townhouse in scrips ranch mriting the home in half. The man and toddler who lived there were downstairs when it fell. Fortunately no one was injured. Now an accuweather update. Good morning. Im Francis Dinglasan. Less green out there. Very breezy at the coast and milder inland, though. Heres the live view of santa cruz. Not exactly a beach day. But were seeing some breaks in the clouds and little bit of blue out there. Temperatures mainly in the low 50s and napa at 53 degrees. And this time enjoy this live view as we look out towards the transamerica tower and, again, bits of blue. We have isolated showers tapering this morning, but get ready for some more rain tomorrow and then a strong storm for president s day. Highs today will be in the upper 50s to near 60. Again, breezy at the coast. And well see mostly cloudy conditions in the south bay and possible isolated showers continue. The chance of them in the afternoon where we could even see some rainbows, as well. Tomorrows storm a level one. It will be light. Well start off with widespread showers and moderate rain at times. 7 00 tomorrow morning some showers and even some heavier areas of rain indicated by yellow there in parts of the north bay. The showers pretty much continue through the afternoon. And then check this out, by late tomorrow night into monday, the areas of red and orange, those are the downpours. The heavier rain moving in to president s day. So, it starts late sunday and continues into monday where we have, again, more rain especially down through the Santa Cruz Mountains and could be tough commuting monday morning, if you dont have the day off. And then the showers just continue all throughout monday. So, monday will be a wash out for president s day and thats why were ranking, im ranking the storm a level 3. A strong storm late sunday into monday. Moderate to heavy rain at times. Rainfall potential one to three inches for most areas. So, again, this brings up flooding concerns, downed trees, Power Outages expected, as well. Heres the rainfall potential over two inches in San Francisco and over four inches. There is a Winter Weather advisory until 10 00 today for the sierra. You do need chains on 80 right now and id avoid driving, as well, early tomorrow into monday where we have a winter storm watch in effect, as well. Your best bet to get in and out of the sierra this afternoon and also on tuesday. Heres the accuweather sevenday forecast. We have those isolated showers lingering. Possibly into the afternoon. But mostly dry for everybody. With temperatures near 60. Sunday wet and breezy with more widespread showers throughout the day. So, take advantage and get outside this afternoon into this evening while you can because weve got that strong storm moving in for president s day. Its going to be a wet one.
