In developing news, nine months after after the last disappearing airport, a plane is missing over Southeast Asia. Suspended as night falls over the region. Boats continue to look for airasia 8501. David are youky has the latest. This is airbus 320 thats disappeared from radar and is missing this morning. Search crews spent the days looking for any sign of the aircraft that was flying through strong weather early saturday morning. Airasia, a low cost carrier serving the area, said at the present time we have no further information regarding the status of the passenger and crewmembers on board but we will keep our parties informed as more information becomes available. The majority of the 161 on board of end donations, including infants. This took off heading for singapore. This morning a woman is recovering after being rescued in bodega bay by firefighters. Any said a woman in her 60s many slipped on rocks at the beach yesterday, dislocating her shoulder. A helicopter lifted the woman from the beach to the parking lot where an ambulance was waiting to take her to the hospital. Another story a ferry caught fire off a greek island. Ferry, with nearly 500 people on board; in noel immediate danger of sinking. It was traveling from greece to italy had it caught fire in Gale Force Winds forcing authorities to order an evacuation. Officials say those efforts are difficult because of high winds and Poor Visibility and hundreds of people are still on board the vessel. Here in the bay area two people are hurt after a truck slammed into a buddhist temple in san jose. It happened around 7 30 last night on story road near waters drive. Witnesses say the truck took out a light pole and some powerlines before crashing into the building. A monk inside the temple and the driver both have minor injuries. Police have arrested the driver on suspicion of drunk driving. New york city landmarks are paying tribute to the officers killed last weekend in brooklyn. Thousands of Police Officers from across the country packed the Queens Church and spilled on to the streets all to remember officer ramos and his partner wenjian liu who were shot execution style last week in what was determined to kill Police Officers. Happening today, demonstrators will hit the streets of San Francisco protesting police brutality. Todays protest comes after a group gathered across the bay in oakland for a black lives matter demonstration yesterday. A handful of protesters stood at the intersection of broadway and 14th street. Traffic slowed, but was not stopped, and the protest did remain peaceful. Todays demonstration in San Francisco gets underway at 10 00 in front of city hall. The 49ers arent countering any of the reports. I havent heard anything from the niners like this is what we are doing. Coach harbaugh is under contract for another year, so he cannot communicate to other teams. Crews are getting ready to shut down the Golden Gate Bridge in about two weeks. It will close saturday january 10th until monday, january 12th. Thats so crews can install these pieces of a movable median barrier to prevent headon crashes. The 52hour closure will be the longest since the bridge opened back in 1937. During the closer the bridge will only be open to golden gate transit buses, cyclists and pedestrian. We will be reporting on that. No woodburning aloud today due to all the concentration of the particulates close to the surface and thats due to strong High Pressure as it sits overhead today and tomorrow. We get a big wind shift tomorrow with the fog starting off the morning hours. Things will get cleaned out once the strong cold front moves through on tuesday. Its the wind that really will reinforce the cold air and could be quite damming come tuesday into wednesday. Santa rosa wake up to temperatures below freezing new years eve. Still cold until new years day and you wont recover until friday or saturday. But livermore, really take a nose dive into new years eve, new years day with overnight lows in the low 30s, and accompanying that cold air to start will be those gusty winds. Somebody could have easily stuck their hand in and opened the door. Steve bought his new front door from lowes back in may. It came precut with the mail slot. Unfortunately the mail slot cover, like this one, didnt come with it. The door also didnt come with a lining to protect the inside of the foamed door. Steve was told to wait a few days. It was one mistake after another that led to a delay after a delay after a delay. Lowes told the sweeneys the manufacturer sent the wrong size. Another time lowes said the for the mail slot cover came incomplete. And a few days they asked him to wait, and it turned into months. That would be about six months. Steve went to lowes to talk to a manager. The manager told him to be patient. We arent talking about ten days, we are talking about six months of being patient, and as soon as i heard that, i was furious. I walked out and im like game on. He contacted 7 on your side. We reached out to lowes, and lowes offered a compromise. Lowes installed this new door without a mail slot. It gave it to steve for free along with a full refund for the first door. Got it for free. Thank you to 7 on your side because that one is awesome. Lowes maintained it would have offered the same deal without being contact bid 7 on your side. In an email to us they said attempts to locate an acceptable mail slot with trim for the door werent successful. We worked with the customer concerning the door and he told us hes satisfied with the resolution. Through it all, steve has maintained his sense of humor.
