The very first conversation that i had with Bernie Sanders was on this issue. Bernie has spent his entire career defending a womans right to choose. Im the mother of two daughters. This is critical to me. I would not be standing behind Bernie Sanders if he didnt have a 100 record on a womans right to make decisions about her own body. This is a dealbreaker, and he is a champion for a womans right to choose. Sanders im Bernie Sanders, courvoisier and paula francis. The news of Southern Nevada is now. Today the 70s returned and it looks like theyll stay a while. Back with some 80s in a few locals. Warmest spots few locals. Suspicious phone calls asking for donationse nothg new. T these calls are hitting the valley pretty hard right now. Dave courvoisier and theyve got a lot of peoplenfused and calling 8n your sides michelle mornsen forvice in tonights got a oblem . Tell michelle. Michelle Mortensen folks seem to be getting local calls from people claiming to be with the nevada Fire Fighters associations and theyre asking for donations for the burn fund. Sandy emailed me after getting 2 calls in one day. She asked me. Is this legit . Sounds strange to me. And howd they get my cell . To get to the bottom of this. I went straight to the nevada firefighters association. They told me they arent seeking donations right now. And they dont do so by phone. But they were aware of a group called the firefighter and calling our area with local numbers seeking donations for a burn fund. I did some digging into that group on charity navigator. Org. I found out theyre based in california. And scored zero out of 4 stars on the site. The reason. Only 3 percent of funds raised go to the burn fund. So what should you do if you get a call seeking donations of any kind . First. Ask for the 501 3c number. If they cant give it to you. Dont give them a dime. Second. Ask what percentage of the funds given. Actually go to the cause. Then you can better decide if its something you want to give to. After becoming aware of this. I also called tim szmansky with las vegas fire. He told me no local Fire Departments or organizations will ever call you for donations. Nor will any local burn units. So now you know. What to look out for. And what to ask. If you get a call for a charitable donation. Denise Valdez its never Dave Courvoisier especially if youre talking about the defending High School National champs.
