Super bowl 50 week kicks off with a bang. We just finished up media night here, and as you can tell, a little feisty here. Folks are heading out. This issOpening Night, suppr bowl Opening Night. Yeah. The media went in and at together. Now, prime time Opening Night. We have a cast of thousands coming up the s. A. P. Arena is back there. All the coaches, john elway, everybody, had to meet the media. Fans were packing it. They were screaming for everybody. The players were right here, right next to people. This was different from two years ago. People were swarming to get whatever they could to get out of those players. This was full of pomp anstance. Everybody in the building tonight, and then tomorrow, they start practicing and get down to business. Lets take a look. Each key player from each team had their own little podium set up there were ups, thousands, over there were hundreds, people, bait tan manning, owen sanders. Peyton was obviously the center oo attention. Earlier today, an nfl Network Report says that he had told his closest friends that he planned to retire, he is done after the game. We talked to peyton about that. Here is peyton talking about that report earlier today. Look, im a realist. You know, i know theres talk about this conversation that i had with belichick two weeks ago against new england and that was not preplanned. It was a spontaneous reaction. Sometimes, you just want to tell somebody man to man. Im aware this could be it. I told both of them, i really have enjoyed these games. Thats been part of my football life. Belichick will coach until he is 90. Maybe i will hit the fountain of youth but just in case i dont, i took time to shake their hands, look them eye to eye and let them know that. My role has been different this year. I played quarterback in a little different way than i used to play. Im in a different offense. I have not been 100 healthy all season. Dont cant hawk cant make some of the same throws, cant do some of the same plays. Kind of like toby keith says, i may not be as good as i once was but im as good as i ever was. All right. Mapping talking about toby keith. This could be my last rodeo and he told his friends he was going to retire. He didnt say one way or the another. He has not said it. I dont believe he will say it until he takes time off in the offseason. He says, it might be my last name again. Thats all he would say. Everybody else is being asked whats the future for Peyton Manning. You mentioned john elway was there and Arne Anderson was there. A lot of people were after elway to see what he would have to say about manning. Pretty much the same thing. Lets listen to john elway. I dont think he is thinking that way. Bottom line, he is trying to concentrate on winning a World Championship. Thats what its been all b thats what he has worked for this season. This is an opportunity, his fourth appearance here. Every time he gets a chance to compete for a World Championship, you know, you want to your full concentration been through it enough that thats what hes thinking about this game. Hell have enough time in the offseason to worry about that. He has worked too hard to get to where he is now to talk about whether hes gone end it at all. He will have plenty of time to reminisce. Just concentrate, stayyin the moment and this is when he worked for. He is the sheriff, isnt he . He is the man. When you talk to fans as well, they talk about peyton and also about the defense. Look, peyton is going to be the center of attention. Yeah. We know that. Is this his last game . Will he be the best quarterback in nfl history if he wins this one . But peyton says, the reason that we are here is because of the defeese. We talked about the super bowl and media day and just being here for the game. Youve come . Thats unbelievable for me. When i get a question about everything i came from and how hard the journey has opinion at times, to be playing in the super bowl, its huge. Its like unbelievable, still. This is the super bowl. No, no, no. Thats the mistake that most people make. You go into big games, you dont ever let that hit you until after the game is over. Whoa. This is the super bowl. Thats how im taking it. Last week was a huge game or two weeks ago was a huge game against the patriots. Im treating it the same way i did that. Let it build, let it build and let it explode on sunday. We have Peyton Manning back in the fold. What would it mean for you all to send a guy like that with a World Championship . That would mean the world to me knowing that we sent one of the greatest with a championship and a ring. That would mean the world to me. I believe that will happen. Arne and i decided to go all out again and hopefulry the luck will change for the bbonco dressed up. Its the dress. Its going to do it. Take a look. But up in the stands, that place was packed by people who bought tickets to see media day. Some of these people dont have tickets to go to the super bowl. This is their best chance to be chose to people. Yes. You saw Peyton Manning there and cam newton. To the fans who bought tickets. ` its fun to see what you guys were doing on the grounds and what the players were experiencing from people like you guys on tte ground. We are outside the entrance here at the s ap center Opening Night. Broncos fans coming out. Panthers were on the floor. Broncos went first. I was experiencing it from the fan perspective. This is what the sounds and sights are from broncos fans. Whooo. Whooo. Whooo. Oh, my goodness. That is amazing. The hype is pretty amazing. Its pretty nice to feel it. First time i heard this question. Can you believe this. You have to tune to the right channel. Peyton manning is number 1. Listening to manning a second ago, talking about the defense, started from the beginning. You can see brandon marshal, emanuel sanders, chris harris, jr. Its part of the aura of the super bowl. Whooo. Whooo. Broncos. Bronco, broncos we meet awesome fans from other teams. No trash talking. Its good natured. Being around ther fans who obviously love both teams, its pretty nice. I was telling you for ron, he actually had to pay. Ron had to pay. If you look at the nfl, sometimes, the experience at home is better. Some of us, sitting in the stands, you could see people like me better than any of the players because of all the people on the floor of the arena. You could see sooe tv screens up top but if you were home p n, having the 40 bucks in the pockets, you might have been better but those two, as you heard, wanted to see the spectacle of spectacle. Lisa, you may have run into mls universe in the arena concourse area, walking on the floor and doing some work, i think, for inside edition of all people. This was the sights and sounds from the arena, but from the fans perspective. Wow. A lot more fun out there, i think. We have snow, snow, snow around here at the presents time. The storm has taken its time getting organized but its powering up now. A long up slope flow is coming from the east and especially right along 287 and up into the mourn tanks just dumping. Places like allens park, he e interstate 70 is closed because of strong winds and expecting similar things to happen across the road. Heavy snow. Some areas had close to a foot in the last 12 to 18 hours. Here is the situation across the state. You can see the heavy snow, especially just to the west of the i25 corridor and farther to the east, out towards burlington, you are getting some strong winds going with the storm. The low pressure system has actually form add little bit farther has actually formed a little bit farther to the west now. Slope. Severe thunderstorms down the Oklahoma City area and blizzard warning continues through most watch what happens with the storm system overnight. You can see the center of the low right, there moving off to the east and the snow is continuing in the denver areain the Early Morning hours. The storm will push most of the moisture up into nebraska, minnesota. Well still have lingering snow showers in the mountains but this time tomorrow night, the snow will have tapered off. How many more years do you have in the field because im concerned that yoo will take my job one day i wont take your job will you work with me. I dont want to work too hard, anyway, when im done. I want to play a couple of years. I have to talk to the family and get their blessing on it. I do want to work in weather in some capacity. I tried my best, in the last couple of years to get out there and do some forecasting for home games and stuff like that. I spent a ton of time in college and i would put that degree to use when im done. I think thats a good deal. You teach me some football and ill teach you what i know. We can bring number 81 in when he retires. He is such a good guy. He might watch denver 7 because he recognized me or maybe he just watches the weather. Who knows. It was a little pit crazy. One of the other great sound bites that we got from the players was on their shoe. They had the awesome white jerseys on, all matching shoes. This was one of the best media day, Opening Nights that i have been to. They had the golden great bridge there they introduced the players coming in. It was a spectacle. It was beautiful and it was sold out. Fans stood in line, a lot of them for hours to get n there we saw niners finance and raiders fans. That hurt. There were a blot of broncos fans in there a lot of broncos fans in there as well. That place exploded when the team was introduced. Running around with Brandon Stokley, seeing a guy having a chance to report and see the players light up when they saw you, that was awesome. It was a lot of fun for me. You could tell that the players enjoyed themselves. They embraced it. But, at the same time, they are focused. I love their demeanor and attitude. They are approaching t the right way.
