And now you can see him in shazam fury of the gods which is in theaters next weekend. Adam brody will also be joining us [ cheers and applause double adamsthe rareble adams. And you know what my middle name is kylo [ laughter ] before we get to all that, fox news and the conservative movement are still reeling from the stunning revelations contained in the most recent court filing from the 1. 6 billion dominion lawsuit which showed that, in private, fox personalities pushing the big lie about the 2020 election knew it was a lie. And in some cases they even admitted that they were disgusted by trump and that the entirety of his presidency was a disaster for more on this, its time for a closer look. [ cheers and applause seth it feels like republicans in washington and on fox news cant go a day without embarrassing themselves. They almost seem to enjoy it like when they blew their chance to win back the senate, thanks in part to vampire werewolf enthusiast Herschel Walker [ laughter ] or when they made Kevin Mccarthy sit through a [ bleep ] groundhog day reboot to become speaker. [ laughter ] or when Marjorie Taylor greene lost her mind at the state of the union in a white fur collar, like a lady screaming at a Little League game despite the fact that none of the kids are hers [ laughter ] youve got to catch that timmy that kids name isnt timmy who is that lady . [ laughter ] i can hear you whispering about me i dont need to have a kid on the team to be here, timmy. Does she think my name is timmy . What is yesterday for example, oklahoma senator mark wayne mullin, a multimillionaire who owns a plumbing business as well as two first names [ laughter ] got into a Tense Exchange with the president of the Teamsters Union during a Committee Hearing chaired by bernie sanders. The hearing was about the growing influence of unions and the importance of allowing workers to organize without any illicit Corporate Union busting. And as you can see from this clip, i think its safe to say unions are done taking crap from wealthy ceos and their patrons in washington. You talk about ceos that are making all this money. And what do you make, mr. Obrien . What do you bring for that salary what do i bring yeah, what job have you committed or have you have you uh [ light laughter ] started . At jave you d . One job. Otthan sucking the paycheck t of somebody that you want to say youre trying to provide because youre forcing them to pay dues no, we dont force them senator, youve asked the question youre out of line, man actually i havent, and dont tell me im out of line. Youre out of line. Dont tell me im out of line you [ talking over each other shut your mouth youre going to tell me to shut my mouth . Yes, i did. [ gavel banging hold it tough guy, im not afraid of physical [ laughter ] no, no, no, hold it dont sit there and tell me im out of line. As far as my salary goes, my salary, if you follow me around i actually look at this building. I bet you i work more hours than you do twice as many hours. Thats impossible no, thats true we hold greedy ceos like yourself accountable youre calling me a greedy ceo. Oh, yeah, you are you want to attack my salary, ill attack yours. What did you make when you owned your company when i made my company . I kept my salary down at about 50,000 a year because i invested every penny into it okay. All right. You mean you hid money [ audience ohs ] hold on a second. Okay he said thats out of line were even. Were even were not even. [ light laughter ] were not even close to being even you think its smart you think youre funny no. Youre not. You think youre funny. [ light laughter ] seth listen, mark, markey mark, mark wayne, mark wayne gacy, i cant remember, its obvious from your accent youre from out of town so as a new englander myself, let me give you some advice. Dont ever say, do you think youre funny to a bald teamster with a boston accent [ laughter ] thats usually when the needle drops on a dropkick murphys song and the montage starts, if you get what i mean. [ laughter ] and based on the face hes making, i believe he does think hes funny [ light laughter ] i also think hes funny because i dont want trouble either. Now, ceos and the millionaire class are clearly terrified of the possibility that workers may have more power if they can organize without interference. And you can see the terror on mullins face. In fact, the best part to me is when the multimillionaire senator, whose net worth is reportedly between 31 and 75 million says he took a 50,000 salary and then is immediately told hes hiding it. It catches mullin so off guard he has to hear it twice before hes offended. You mean, you hid money no, i didnt hide oh hold on a second. [ laughter ] seth its like watching moe szyslak realize theres no one at the bar named mike rotch. [ laughter ] hey also i love bernie getting in the middle of that whole thing [ light laughter ] theres something very funny about referee bernie whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. [ laughter ] im going to say the same thing about this fight that i say about the big banks. Break it up [ laughter ] that clip once again exposes that the rights b. S. About standing up for the working class is all just a lie. Just like the lies they told over and over and over again about the 2020 election, which they knew were lies, as weve discovered from the nonstop avalanche of embarrassing revelations in the dominion lawsuit against fox news take fox host Tucker Carlson, who we learned this week said in private not just that the stolen election lies were insane and that he hated trump passionately, but that the entire Trump Presidency was a failure. Thanks to the 1. 6 billion defamation lawsuit filed by dominion voting systems against fox, we now know what Tucker Carlson really thinks about donald trump and about Donald Trumps presidency Tucker Carlson said this about the Trump Presidency thats the last four years. Were all pretending weve got a lot to show for it because admitting what a disaster its been is too tough to digest. But come on, there isnt really an upside to trump. Seth and look, i know he was never going to say that on camera but it would have been so fun to see tucker after the election being honest on tv like a shellshocked basketball coach giving a post Game Press Conference after losing by 50 points hey, what was the Biggest Issue out there today, coach . Ah [ laughter ] uh, i guess id say the Biggest Issue is we, uh [ bleep ] suck at basketball. [ laughter ] so, tucker admitted in private there was no upside to trump now you tell i was still waiting for infrastructure week. What about all his promises like great jobs or Great Health Care or great big wall . What about the free hats oh, god, were the hats not really free . [ laughter ] its such a stunning admission that undercuts the entire premise of the Trump Presidency and the devils bargain the conservative movement has made with him it exposes their entire project as a sham and a fraud. They debased themselves for a guy they were personally disgusted by and by the end of it, they admitted they had nothing to show for it it was all a lie and they all knew it. And now its all coming out. In public they were shilling for trump, but in private they were saying youre out of line. [ laughter ] seth the latest example of a gop election denier caught lying is former Trump Campaign attorney jenna ellis you might remember her from that Infamous Press conference where she stood next to Sidney Powell and rudy giuliani, while he leaked hair dye live on television [ laughter ] and look, im not saying its not the worse thing jenna ellis and Sidney Powell did that day, but how come neither of them stepped in when their friend started to melt . [ laughter ] at least grab a fan or a bucket or something if that press conference had gone on any longer, rudy would have ended in a puddle on a floor. [ laughter ] quick, someone pour me in a soda can and take me to my next press conference just not a diet coke, i dont want the boss to drink me. [ light laughter ] in fact, ellis followed rudy around on his tour of swing states where he claimed the election was stolen, including that time trump called in on speakerphone and she held up that phone to the mic so trump could ramble incoherently. Im in the oval office right now and its very interesting to see whats going on. And this was an election that we won easily we won it by a lot anybody watching television the night of the election was saying, wow i was called by the biggest political people, congratulations, sir, on a big win. And all of a sudden ballots were dumped all over the place, and a lot of horrible things happened. Very weird things happened but theyre not weird to professionals, and theyre not weird to dominion and other people that operate machines and theyre not weird to the people that handle the ballots where they were flooding the market people were getting two and three and four ballots in their home people that were dead were signing up for ballots not only were they coming in and putting in a ballot, but dead people were requesting ballots seth trump always talked like he was trying to distract Bank Security while danny ocean broke into the vault [ laughter ] now, if i wanted to open a checking account, would the fees be higher than with the savings account . Come on. Come on, danny were running out of time. [ laughter ] as you heard there, one of trumps deranged claims was that dead people were requesting ballots, and the hosts on fox were all watching and taking their cues, again, even though they were privately complaining about how insane it was. For example, according to the New York Times, about a week after the election, Tucker Carlson reportedly asked his producers, quote, do we have enough dead people for tonight [ laughter ] i will say, tucker often has the expression of a man who has just been told by a child, i see dead people. [ laughter ] watch. I see dead people [ laughter ] seth i like that [ light laughter ] the first time i saw it, and i liked it [ light laughter ] the only time the question do we have enough dead people . Is legitimate is if youre casting extras for the last of us. Do we have enough dead people for the shoot tonight . [ laughter ] regular dead or mushroom dead . You think youre being funny . [ laughter ] according to the times, that night he trumpeted the evidence borrowed from a Trump Campaign news release, four allegedly dead georgians had cast a ballot within days, though, the aigns spoonfed examples begaall apart. Three of tead georgians weactu ] int tuckad to ad he wrong in a huating ection in ament he saas we reported last week, dead americans voin this election friday, we beganlearn some of the specific dead voters reed to us as deceased are in fact alive. Man, no one has ever seemed so bummed to learn that someone they thought was dead was actually alive [ laughter ] he sounds like a guy who poisoned his wife for insurance money, and then ran into her at the country club oh, debra youre here. Didnt jeeves make you your martini last night damn it, jeeves. You lost your nerve, man. [ light laughter ] they all knew this was a ridiculous lie but they fed it to their viewers anyway because they were terrified of losing their audience sean hannity wrote in one text, you dont piss off the base. And in another, a fox producer wrote to host maria bartiromo, to be honest, our audience doesnt want to hear about a peaceful transition. Thats the key right there that explains it all foxs audience doesnt want to hear the truth, so fox chose not to tell them fox news doesnt deliver the news, they take requests and do their best to fulfill them theyre basically overpaid wedding deejays. [ laughter ] what do you want crooked Voting Machines all right. Ill try to get it in after the electric slide. Bartiromo is one of the key proponents of the big lie. In fact, she repeatedly hosted ellis on her show to say stuff like this. We had affidavits from witnesses. We have voter intimidation we have the ballots that were manipulated. We have all kinds of statistics that show that this was a coordinated effort in all of these states to transfer votes either from trump to biden to manipulate the ballots to count them in secret President Trump is right that there was widespread fraud in this election. We have at least six states that were corrupted, if not more, through the voting systems we know that President Trump won in a landslide the outcome of this election is actually fraudulent its wrong and we understand that when we subtract all of the illegal ballots, you can see that President Trump actually won in a landslide. Seth when you subtract all the illegal ballots, you can see that President Trump actually won in a landslide just ask my colleague, sody giuliani [ laughter ] well, it will not shock you to learn that just like everyone else at fox, ellis is also lying. Ellis admitted in a sworn Statement Released on wednesday that she had knowingly misrepresented the facts in several of her public claims that widespread voting fraud led to trumps defeat, and specifically, the filing lists all of the ellis quotes we just showed you from fox news how does this keep happening we keep getting new Court Filings where everyone from trumps legal team, to his closest allies on fox news all admit theyre full of [ bleep ]. Its only a matter of time before we see a leaked text from trump himself that said, just saw myself on fox and friends. what the [ bleep ] am i talking about . [ laughter ] i look and sound like a lunatic. Urian hackney has been here all week thank you, urian [ cheers and applause glad to be here, man. Seth our first guest tonight is an oscar, emmy, and tonynominated actor you know from films such as marriage story, house of gucci, and the star wars franchise. He stars in 65, which is in theaters friday, march 10th. Please welcome back to the show, our friend adam driver, everybody. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Seth very, very happy to have you here. Thanks for having me. Seth this is one of those really fun for all ages blockbusters i would recommend people see it in the theater do you remember the first time you saw one of these movies with your family where you got to be a kid and go out and see one of these really fun things on a big screen yeah, mine was i think star trek was the first movie. The one where they go to the planet and they think its a god. Seth oh, i dont remember it im glad you kept going because ike, i think tgo to a planet. [ laughter ] yeah, yeah. I think William Shatner directed it seth okay. I think it was like Leonard Nimoy did the one with the whales seth youre right. Nimoy was the whales then after that, i think he directed the one where you go and they think its god and it turns out to be a false prophet. Seth okay, gotcha. But id watch it. Seth this seems very complicated for your first one [ laughter ] that was my first one i think im getting the dates right but i was that i remember being the first one i saw in the theater seth and do you remember enjoying it . I mean, yeah, i had a great time i watched the show, the next generation, with my dad seth oh, thats great. So, i was expecting it to be and i knew the William Shatner show because they did the older one, the originals so, i was expecting it to be that, but it wasnt that at all, so it scared the [ bleep ] out of me. Seth right [ laughter ] no, im worried, cause like you know, this film, you know, i my oldest is almost seven and we i feel like ive done a bad job. We havent shown them enough movies yet, and so they scare very easily. Because i dont think they understand the stakes. We were showing them the first paddington. [ laughter ] and theres a moment where paddington has i hope im not ruining it [ laughter ] theres a scene where paddington has they like kick him out of the house, and my oldest was, like, overcome with grief. Ah, ah. Seth and i realized, oh, we havent taught him that like paddingtons i was like, paddingtons going to be fine. [ laughter ] oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Seth so, is this i mean, is this a film have you seen kids see this new film yet no. I invited kids from my building to the premiere part of [ audience aws ] [ laughter ] seth he charged them for tickets. [ laughter ] then i harassed them the whole time if they didnt like it [ laughter ] and they had a great time. Seth thats great. My dad actually recorded he showed this is a nonsequitur, but he showed me old yeller when i was really young and old yeller gets shot [ audience ohs ] seth yeah. But then they get another dog. Seth yeah. He would record a tape on the vhs, and put the tab over the thing, but give it to friends of ours, but cut the movie seth thats nice when he shoots the dog, and then give it to people so you never saw seth i remember being very upset the first time i saw old yeller and taking it out on my parents. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Seth becau and i remember, you know, my dad was making a point, but you know, its you know, the story is about that, one, you can replace a dog and you move on. Right, right. Seth and i was like, yeah, but they didnt have to shoot it. [ laughter ] theres another version where the dog just gets old. Right, right, right they didnt have to go so hard with the rabies. Right, doesnt he got rabies [ laughter ] seth they went hard on rabies, yeah no, it was a trope at the time seth yeah, rabies was remember simpler times when you were a kid, you were just worried about rabies. [ laughter ] yeah, yeah. Actually, in this movie, we have a quicksand sequence, which i remember which maybe i shouldnt say. [ laughter ] but when i was a kid, there was quicksand everywhere seth yes it was very popular seth yeah, no. I think youre right so much to the point that i was worried that i had to worry about quicksand. [ laughter ] seth and im guessing you didnt grow up in a place with a lot of quicksand no, no. Indiana. No quicksand seth i think theyre at almost zero deaths a year from quicksand. [ light laughter ] yeah, yeah. Seth when you shoot a quicksand scene, is it i mean, obviously its not practical quicksand, but im assuming you cant cgi quicksand. You got to be in something they put a bunch of cork particles. Seth oh, interesting but its very nice. Its like, very heated [ laughter ] seth so youre saying this might be ten years from now a spa treatment . Yeah, yeah, yeah. The quicksand close to death spa treatment. Seth yeah, i did a quicksand rinse. And i look and feel great. Yeah. My hair is different [ laughter ] seth you know, Jurassic Park, was that a movie you saw . Oh, yeah, Jurassic Park was a big one. Seth thats fun, and i think dinosaurs in general, because its like, you mentioned you watched star trek before you went and saw star trek, the tv show and i think the nice thing for kids is like, they all like, you dont have to introduce dinosaurs to them. Like they just know dinosaurs. Its so funny how much my kids will just come home and tell me about a new dinosaur and i remember the same thing and im like, when does at some point, just other kids on the playground are like hey. [ laughter ] right, right. Seth theres a lot of different dinosaurs. That actually was going on during the i got this during the first part of the pandemic when everyone was isolated and so, i was with my family all the time, and my son was just telling me everything about every dinosaur i knew the basics, trex and everything that was in Jurassic Park. Seth y but apart from that so, when i got this, obviously the themes are obvious in relationship to covid that everyone is kind of facing this thing that they dont know its this invisible kind of thing. But it was also big. It was like dinosaurs and laser guns, and hes into dinosaurs. Im like, im in. [ laughter ] and then we went and he kind of he kind of knew everything the guy was like, introducing, oh, this is going to be a little scary dont be scared. Hes like, no, gallimimus, you know [ laughter ] you know, neoraptor. He was naming everything he was really into it. But he doesnt want to see the movie because hes going to be hes too scared. Seth really . So, i basically made this thing for him to watch that he has no interest in watching. [ laughter ] seth are you is any part of you worried that the im too scared is just a cover for the fact hes just not a huge fan of yours as an actor . Yeah, yeah, yeah. [ laughter ] i tell him, like, what does daddy oh, well do movies sometimes. Oh, thats cool i hate movies. [ laughter ] he hates movies. All of his friends seth so is it just like does he just get anxiety being in a big room . Thats what he said, he hates them i finally showed him mary poppins as the first movie and its like, yeah, its okay. [ laughter ] im like, do you want to watch anything else . Hes like, no, im not interested. Seth can i we also showed our kids mary poppins during can i make this is the original one. Seth yeah, the original for me can i make an unpopular opinion . Yeah, yeah. Seth could have used a cut [ laughter ] right . Mary poppins is a little bit theres stuff you dont remember from mary poppins. Its pretty wild, mary poppins. Seth its pretty wild. The whole sequence where the guys laughing, he goes up to the top. Seth yeah, its terrifying for kids i think its very or adults seth its very antilaughter. All right. Ive got a ton more questions. [ alarm m ringing [ animal roaring ] [ [ animal roaoaring ] [ crash seth hey, everybody. Welcome back to late night. [ cheers and applause were here with adam driver. That was a clip from 65. This film take place 65 million years in the past. Yes seth where do you shoot a movie like that . [ laughter ] like, where are we living now that best looks like that . I believe, louisiana. [ laughter ] seth okay, good. Thats no comment on louisiana right, right, no. Seth a very robust film yeah, yeah, not the red light district or the French Quarter [ laughter ] seth the French Quarter, yeah yeah, oddly, the French Quarter in new orleans [ light laughter ] no, its, like, in the swamps out near new orleans seth okay. Thats what they or at least i was told by somebody, that was the closest thing to prehistoric earth. Then we went to oregon seth okay. Yeah, to shoot the big trees, the redwoods seth very good ultimately if you can combine louisiana and oregon, you basically have 65 million years ago. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [ light laughter ] or i guess the right words are more north eh, somewhere in oregon i cant remember where we were actually, i should remember where we were. We were there for a long time. [ light laughter ] but yes, the combination of those things seth you were so deep in character, like, it wasnt oregon to you. Exactly, thank you, thank you. [ laughter ] it was 65 million years ago. Seth how could you possibly remember something that happened that long ago . Right, right, right [ light laughter ] seth you also we were just talking during the break that you got to work with two directors whove i was going to say i love but i think Everybody Loves michael mann. Yeah. Seth and francis ford coppola. Yeah. Seth when you go in [ cheers and applause yeah, yeah. Seth do you go into things like that differently . Are you thinking or do you try to get yourself out of your head and know its like, the same kind of work you want to do on every movie even when youre working with legends . I think its a bit of both. They also are people who are so disarming that you dont really the legend of them or what you relate to them in their movies and how, you know, how much their films have meant to you, where you replay moments, it kind of goes away really quickly. Because theyre just, you know, theyre people who are just so you pretty you find a rhythm, i think, easily. Most with directors like that who are really good, theyre really disarming because they want the best out of what it is that you give them seth right i think they would obviously know from their long careers that if you walk around like a legend, youre not going to get the best work out of people. Yeah, you drop the movies on the floor. [ laughter ] no, they want you know, they want the best out of you so, there really cant be a distance between you and them. And they bring their ev so much of themselves to a set. And you, i think, have to do the same seth you i know you put a lot of work before you start a movie and then the work you put into a movie while youre filming it but ive also heard that as soon as its over, you like to move on i mean, i will say im not doing the same kind of work here, but we do the same thing, right . Im never like, im going to watch mondays show. Its like you move right, right. Seth is that why do you just feel like its important because you dont want the previous work to get in the way or to clutter the next maybe that, but its also the i cant control it. Its not my movie that im directing, and acting is so much a Service Industry so you go in and do as much as you possibly can with what the time and budget and the director, you know, and all of the elements kind of allow and then i try to its like a protective mechanism, just move on to the next thing and try not to think about it because i cant control it and i dont want to get involved in trying to tell someone else about what their movie should be if theres an inherent trust with them where youre like, this is your film, you know, im fulfilling one role of it and whatever you want to make it, thats up to you, then i kind of dont want to get involved, you know, emotionally with why did you pick that take . Seth its a very zen thing did you find that from the beginning, that idea of just letting go when youre done . Or did you have to find your way to it . A bit of both i did a lot of theater beforehand where you cant take it with you obviously every night. It only exists how you felt about it when you did it and to me that was enough of a good yardstick when were shooting to know if its going well im like, okay, i know what it feels like internally, i shouldnt worry what it looks like externally. But then i saw some of the things i did and i hated them. [ laughter ] and you wind up putting not only yourself through this kind of really boring, like, you know, over pretentious kind of thing of asking you know, of asking everybody else around it and then youve kind of got to watch it four times to divorce that its you whos doing it, you know to really, okay, i remember what we were doing, why i made that choice. So, its like, its just exhausting i try to just, like, do everyone around me a favor by letting it go as much as possible [ light laughter ] seth very selfless yeah. Well seth this is obviously this movie feels very unique to the work youve done up to this point. Are there other is that sort of what youre looking for is there something out there because again i feel like youve had a lot of diversity in the sort of things youve done is there something left that you really want to do . The kind of movie or kind of role yeah. Anything thats different always interests me and the people that are making it is a big part of it big budgets or small budget. I know its like a very cliche answer, but the older you get, i feel like then you kind of want to be home more. And things are interesting you before dont really interest you now. So, i just want to be home and not [ light laughter ] this is where this answer is going. Thats not what i mean to say. I dont want to work seth your agent is going to be like, adam, baby what are you doing . [ laughter ] yeah, yeah, yeah. Seth i will tell you that i anything is really anything its going to expect it to be. Not to answer [ laughter ] trying to dig my way out of this answer something thats funny you know, do the opposite. Ill play the comet in the movie next [ laughter ] that chases the dinosaurs. Help me out of this answer seth im just going to say, that i you know, there are certain actors that when they choose a role i have confidence that, you know, its the right thing. And youve always been someone for that im always excited to see what you choose thats very nice. [ cheers and applause seth thanks for being here, man. Its always such a pleasure. Thank you so much seth on behalf of all the seths, the seth community. I hope i did you proud. Seth you have played multiple seths, right . How many well, fleishman and then the o. C. Seth yeah, fleishman, it was were going to get to shazam, but i was telling you backstage, i thought fleishman was wonderful. It must have been was it fun to make, and be here in the city it was a joy to make. But taffy, the creator, was lovely everyone was lovely. Jesse eisenberg, lizzy caplan, who i worked with, couldnt have been nicer couldnt have been lovelier. I was filming scenes like, you know, iconic to me, talking about relationships in central park seth yeah. And as a nonnew yorker, its especially iconic. Seth well, you fit right in. Youre a very believable new yorker and a departure, of course, from a believable new yorker is a man in a superhero suit. [ laughter ] yeah. Some of our great superheroes have been new yorkers. Seth thats true thats very fair to say. What was it like spiderman. He was a seth spiderman, yeah. [ cheers ] daredevil. Youve got a lot of them did you what was it like the first time you put on the suit it must have been a trip it was. But its a you know, what you do what i did is i drive way out to the valley, which is the jersey equivalent. Way out there. Seth very hot. Yeah, very hot. Broiling and they tell you to get in your underwear, and then they do that and they give you a smaller pair of underwear [ laughter ] and you put those on and then they 3d scan you and you come back four months later, and they have a prototype muscle suit for you. You put on like a muscle leotard. And then, with some you know, in my case, some sort of blue lycra, im not sure of the material, on top of that and you come back a few months later, and theres some prototype gold boots and bracelets and stuff. Its not quite the bat cave big reveal seth so, basically, if someone said to you, adam, theres danger come as quick as you can. Youre like, eight months. Eight months. [ laughter ] eight months, and like, a lot of money. Seth yeah, a lot of money. Its like a hilarious amount of money seth i would be so nervous about the moment from the scan to the four months i go back, because i would assume whatever was scanned is what youve got to show back up with, right . You mean oh, bodywise, bodywise. Seth your body type cant change yeah, yeah. Thats why i didnt go to the gym a bunch. Otherwise, i would have been [ laughter ] seth yeah, of course everybody was saying, usually adams at the gym all the time. Havent seen you in a while, bro. Where you been . Seth and then so its probably not as fun to wear as it is to look at you know, thats true the short answer is thats true. Seth it looks great. The first one was we did you know, this is a sequel the first one were particular uncomfortable. This one was much more comfortable. They streamlined it a bit. And its pretty fun. But you have a pit crew. Its pretty infantilizing, because you have three people assigned to each of us to help us get us in and out and do our bracelets. [ laughter ] so i dont know. You dont feel bad ass, thats for sure seth did you read were you a comic book fan growing up . Yeah, very much i had a few phases where i particularly dove in junior high was big. In my around like 20 years old, too, i had a i went deep again. I heard you did as well. Seth i would say i had a couple of waves as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Seth yeah, and yet, no ones ever asked me to be one. Yeah [ laughter ] took me a long time seth it took you a long time so, youre saying dont give up . Yeah, yeah. Seth okay, great thats what im say seth ry i wou [ laughter ]et scanned i know youe a couple of kids one is probably too young for this, but yoghter is n. Seth is it exciting for her to see her dad as a supeo . I think it is, yeahyou know, i first got the job many years ago, the first thing i said was, oh, great, she can see it. And she was too young at the time she actuallynt a lot of time filmed it in nta,and was time so, shes almost an unofficial shazam member. [ light laughter ] seth you know, for people who dont know the shazam family and that world, this is a really cool story about kids and their superhero alter egos and it does have a uniqueness to it among the sort of superhero stories. Yeah, its essentially big, but as a superhero [ light laughter ] these kids say the word shazam, and they become their older superhero alter egos its fun to play because youre playing, you know, in our case, 17yearolds, of course. The fun is really playing like were playing 17, but, maybe leaning into the more like 12. You know you want to be as naive as you can. Thats where the joy of it is. Seth it must be, again, also fun to be in a theater, and see the movie like this thats a big superhero movie, with other people yeah. Ive seen it i just did a friends and family screening, so, im looking forward to the premiere seth how are friends and family do you have honest friends and family in your life . [ laughter ] yeah, i mean, i think im the most honest. Seth thats good if youre the most honest, that puts you in a better position. But yeah, no, i have very supportive people in my life seth oh, thats great. But doing something on this scale is very fun. Not just for the theatrical element of it. But just being on the set, thats enormous. And being on you know, we have this layer in it. And its im trying to think its essentially a humongous bat cave seth you basically cant keep talking because youre worried youre going to give away a secret, right thats also true. Im not allowed to say anything. But yeah, no, the sets are gigantic, and that was a thrill for me whos not on stuff that big normally seth helen mirren and lucy liu, i can say villains correct seth and two wonderful actors in it i think villains in comic book world are so much fun. Theyre such sort of scenery chewing parts. It strikes me that they had a lot of fun doing it. Is that the sense you got . That was the sense i got. You know, my sense was helen mirren loves her life and loves her job. Not just on this it seems she struck me as the kind of person whos having fun on all her sets. Seth its very nice when youre around people like that and you realize, oh, this is a path forward that you can actually take. You can be great at everything you do, and also enjoy every second of it. Yeah. And some older actors, i question why theyre doing it still so much. Bad investments . Must owe a lot of taxes . Whatever [ laughter ] but for her, im sure its the pure love of it. Seth yeah. And its certainly lovely to watch it as well hey, thanks so much for being here its just a delight to have you. [ cheers and applause adam brody, everybody.
