Most people we talked to said they had no problems driving to santa clara. Traffic was moving at a good pace around noon. And navigating a red sea of pedestrians and cars was problems for people trying to park. We got out of the expressway at 10 00 in the morning and we got to the lot at 11 15. It was backed up all the way to the freeway. The fans complained that the lots for charcoal barbecues were a mile away from the stadium. And the San Jose Earthquakes came here two week gris, and they were happy to soo the Police Officers were stationed on the streets, preventing people from parking in thes reden shl areas. And this lot did have spaces but the cost was 50 to get in here. Reporting live, marianne favro, nbc news. Football fans porked on the fairways at the golf course just across the stadium. Niners fans seemed to have fared a little better than those who drove. The rail system did not report any problems on the way to the game. Nannette, it has to be busy there too. Right, fans are starting to stream out of the stadium. We are on the platform for trains heading south of here. And im sure the fans here are happy to see the trains pull in. And if you look to the left, you can see the systems align for the platform, for the people wanting to get on the train here. And a sea of red and people try to get on a southbound train. And fans, reported that they were when they were on the train earlier, they actually liked the experience enchts pta learned a lot from a the first santa clara event. And they thought the rail system ironed out the program and took a change to rode the train. It was a lot of backed up trains and not a lot of people getting to where they needed to be. And i think they added a lot of trains and they will be able to take care of everybody. The problem is, lots of other fans had the same idea. Train after train from the southern direction was packed in a sea of red. It was almost like a party train. They have buses at train stations if people couldnt get on a train. If the trains are full, we have buss that are attached to the station for the same reason. People get off one train and they can hop on a bus. Light rail seems to be the way to go. Trains zipped by the grid lock. And some of the drives ended up on bta because of the traffic jam. We tried driving down there be it was a cluster. I wasnt paying 40 for parking. Bta says the test may be after the game when everybody is leaving at once. That is when the problems occurred after the earthquake game. And that is when bronco fans are nervous. No, absolutely not. Well, its going to be a good score for us. Maybe. Well, after the game, it may not be the true test after all because of the score. Fans started leaving the stadium a lot earlier than anticipating, and peggy said. We saw a lot of fans leave around halftime. And any event, bta has three car trains on standby in case they are needed to bring in. And it doesnt look like they are needed. In many ways, first night of that curfew here. Looked just like the last week in this community on edge. Angry protesters filling the streets, met by police and riot gear. In the chaos, one of the protestors was shot. He is in critical conditions. They say shots were fired at a police cruiser. We have a person who may lose their life. We have someone shot with a handgun. We had a police car shot at tonight. And yeah, i think that was the proper response. The response during the day has been much different on both sides of the controversy. Today, more than 1,000 gathered to send a strong message and to support and hear from browns family. He was a human being. He was a younger cousin. He has a son. He was an uncle, a nephew. He was not a suspect. He was not an object. He was not an animal. But thats how he was killed. Yeah, a lot of frustration and grief that stretches from family into the community. Look, the Justice Department confirms they at the request of the brown family will conduct an autopsy separate from the local investigation here.
