Were told hell be out within the next half hour dealing with some signatures up on the 20th floor. Heres what happened in the courtroom today. The senator was brought in with the second group as youre looking at video of the arrest earlier today. He wore a bluecollared dress shirt with a blue and green windbreaker. Not dressed in jail gash like the other defendants. They were all in their goeth clothing. He did a lot of looking around in the courtroom. He was focused and attentive. He was somewhat somber, and he appeared a bit tired at times. When the u. S. Attorney red the counts again senator yee the judge asked the senator if he understand the charges. He did not speak to that. He simply nod his head yes, acknowledging that he was aware now on the issue of bail. Senator yee facing a 500,000 unsecured bail. What that means is he will sign his name on the 20th floor. 19th floor rather, saying that he will come up with that money if he should flee, but because its unsecured, it means he doesnt have to come up with any money or any property to allow him to leave the federal courthouse. Now, the other conditions of his release. He can only travel in the state of california. That was greater than what the other defendants received. Many were told they could only travel in the Northern District of the state. The senator given the opportunity to travel throughout the state of california.
