Customers arent able to get many of the traditional items they want. Folks in chinatown say the labor dispute needs to end. They better get this sorted out as soon as possible. Secretary of labor was supposed to make a visit here to San Franciscos chinatown but we are told he got caught up in labor negotiations. We are told he may visit here tomorrow. They got away with thousands of dollars worth of goods. Witnesses got a glimpse of the men driving way under a red mini van. Mountain view police say it is similar it a crime last week. This is Surveillance Video of that burglary. Thieves driving a similar van targeted a an audio shop. We have also seen similar smashandgrabs in San Francisco. A Police Officer is recovering after a crash on the bay bridge. It tied up midday traffic. Two eastbound lanes of the bridge were closed for about an hour. The officers bike somehow slid into another motorcyclist but the other bike wasnt knocked over. Minor injuries for the chp officer. As the economy gets better this gets worse. They think maybe there arent enough air monitors or water sprayed on the debris. They have a long list of concerns. But i also smoke with a spokesperson for the developers who said yes they are following an improved plan and we watched today as ramps started coming down. The county equipment outside Candlestick Park is the most visible signs of those driving by that the stadium is coming down. It is happening near sterling moores house. Environmentally we are just sitting ducks from the dust from this stadium and particulates that come through our window. Reporter she is concerned about things like asbestos dust and her neighborhood. She is also concerned about transparency. They said they would have six monitors. They only have two. Reporter a spokesperson says there are eight monitors four for park demolition. They also say they follow a dust mitigation plan approved by the department of public health. Environmental Health Inspector says the last report found into visible dust and things were cleaned before leaving. They dont have their own air monitors onsite but are playing a supplemental role. Reporter when jamie was just 11 years old, he was treated at childrens for an aggressive form of cancer. He missed some of the sixth grade and all of seventh grade. But not only did jamie not fall behind in math just the opposite in fact. Jamie now an applied mathematics major in college, said it was jerry who not only influenced his course of study but the direction of his life. Anyone who dedicates themselves to help people like that, anything that they might be doing to help, can have a significant mark on that persons life. In my case thats exactly what happened. Those are the things that you live for. Those are the issue success stories. Reporter and while those successes are nice, jerry always keeps them in perspective. What matters most to him is not that his pupils go ton bigger and Better Things its just that they go period. Most of these children get well. They get better and they leave. What a great guy. I know. The patients absolutely loved him. He followed him around for the day. And room to room to room you go in, the patient lights up. You would think, your kid and there guy is coming to teach him math and you dont always think that something that gets a child excited, but they get excite wleded when he a there. Sometimes a kid he only sees one day. But some he sees month after month and year after year. Even after jamie left the hospital and was back home he would call jerry and tutor him over the phone. That is a great distraction, too. And like a mental break from all of the medical stuff youre going through. Couped up in this hospital room.
