A business that is six feet underwater. Weve seen seens like this all over town, folks here are just doing their very best to get through it. Sections of river road can only be navigated by boat today. The river has come close to cresting, some people woke up to find their homes sur rounded by water. I literally floated out from my backyard, out to river road. My basement and garage got flooded. I figures id take the kayak for a little run and i dont get to do this often. Its been more than a decade since people have seen flooding like this. Neighbors are pulling together. Most have been through it before. Were all making the most of it. Those that have boats come out to help each other out. Helped a gentleman get down the road to his car. And we cope. When neighbors cant help, California National guard is standing by to pitch in. Theyre using their special high water vehicles to evacuate resident residents. And bring needed supplies to those who are stranded. We can help out anyway we can. Were back here live, looking at this business. You can see its about 6 feet under water, now, fortunately the folks who run this business are living quarters is upstairs. So that is safe, but the business obviously is going to need to do a lot of drying. The National Guard will be here overnight. They did about six rescues today, they brought groceries to folks, theyre standing by ready to help us, they need to go back out again. Theyll be here overnight and into tomorrow. Folks doing their best here, just to get through this. Hopefully the water will start receding. Jodi hernandez, nbc bay area news. People south of the bay area remain under Evacuation Orders tonight. This is happening along highway 152 at lovers lane Damian Trujillo joins us there live. Just a mess there as well, dami damian . Yeah. They rescued a skoup el that was standing on the roof of their vehicles out of one of the residences down there. A few were taken to the residents center. We want to stay in our house, less than two minutes they came back in saying, the supervisor called and said its mandatory you have to evacuate. The going is to get residents back into their homes as quickly as possible. To do that, we have to make sure that health and safety issues are addressed, make sure those places have power and water, make sure that travel to and from those locations is safe and efficient. The Rushing Water wushed cars against each other, pickup trucks were abandoned on the side of lovers lane, with water marks reaching the door handles. We showed you livestock at 5 00 that was trying to seek high ground about the livestock is doing fine, they didnt need to be recued, they showed up to feed that livestock. Holster and this area here is filled with a lot of farm fields, good thing for them is that this is not the peak coop season for them.
