We deleted our twitter and instagram accounts, and we tried an experiment on our office staff to see how addicted they are to their phones. I dont want to gross anyone out, but there are two hostess cupcakes. Its gross. But that is what i would eat not for the meals. In between. Hershey kisses. You know when you walk by a candy dish and you eat five or ten . Then i get skinny pop by the big bag. You know the kind wait. Please tell where you leave it. Tell where you leave it. I dont want joel to think im a pig, so i hide it behind the dog food. Then i take the bag out wuatch tv, and then with the empty evidence bag, i take it to the garbage and bury it under how many people can remember hiding something at the bottom of the trash can . Me too. Who wants you dont want anyone to know. I open the trash and i thought will joel see anything weird . All clear. Were going to be doing this next week, and we encourage you guys to try it. This is a brilliant idea. I havent done it yet because i dont want to face the harsh reality. You have a plan that shes going to put you on. Yes. What what is your plan . I dont even know. I do everything for the kids. I think a lot of people do this. They eat have super healthy. Kale, salmon. For myself im, like, what do i have to eat . You just eat whatever. If you want to cheat every day, she was telling me for me, you can eat two bites of anything. Pick the thing you love and have two bites. You know youre not depriving. You can wait until the end of the day. Two full bites. I give myself a cheat meal a week. If you are going on date night, whats fun. What do you want to eat tonight . Salmon. Yeah. Im not reading anything. And youre not posting anything. Youre posting something from your account, but its not you. Were going to talk about that kooif addiction. Coming up, were going to see how addicted people are to their phones and were going to tell you how to separate yourself from something that you do too much of where. All right. Lets talk about body image. We seem to be talking about the same thing over and over again. Body image. Phones. Its that time of the year. Right . Were trying to get our stuff straight. Theres a survey done by muscle maker grill, and they found that 81 of americans feel like they havent reached their proper ideal body type. Yeah. I will say this. Over the holidays, i was looking through pictures from college. Yes, there were some freshmen 15 pictures. Weve all seen those on the cover of People Magazine and stuff, but i will say that there was this picture of me with my grandpa and i looked so happy, and also i wish i had appreciated that body. I said that to henry, and he said do that now. You look great. Youre 35. You look fab. Youre a mother of two. Youre strong. Do that now. Dont wait until youre 08 and say i wish i had appreciated it at 35. Youre right. Thats actually a good rule of thumb. Every time you look back at pictures and say it wasnt as bad as i thought in your head they were asked these questions. Which of these four things would you give up to achieve that ideal body type . Alcohol, social media, sex, or your cell phone . What would you give up . I would give up alcohol in a second. I would give up alcohol because truth be told, i love the wine. You dont need it. I have other things that im much more addicted to than that. What would you give up . I sort of agree. I have given up alcohol twice for nine months, and there were times i missed it, yes, but all in all, not really. 37 agree with us. They agree they would give up alcohol permanently oh, i didnt know permanently was part of it. Not in the mornings. She was, like, i was told it was just not before 11 00 a. M. All right. 7 , only 7, said they would give up their cell phones. How could you give up your cell phone . You cant. You have to get a call from your spouse, from your boyfriend, from your kids. You cant do it. There is for your germophobes out there, theres a special toilet paper for phones. You know people carry their phones into the rest room. Theres toilet paper roll, and then in tokyo at the International Airport they have partnered with this Japanese Telecom company with a special kind of paper that wipes your phone. Oh, there it is. If you have ever gone to a restaurant where theres a buffet and we were looking at the chicken noodle soup. Were, like, oh, that looks good, and this colleague of ours mine walked up and goes im so sick. Im going to get some chicken noodle soup, and i saw his hand go on the ladle. It was like in slow motion. If you want to find the germiest place, i bet you its the chicken noodle soup ladle or, or then i was in our kitchen, and i was going to get some honey to put on peanut butter, although i shouldnt have, and as i was looking at the honey, a colleague in there is coughing. Lauderdale, florida, where there is a shooting. Were told one person is dead. We dont know if that was the shooter. There were reports that a shooter was in custody. The motive unclear. Its happening at terminal 2. Youre seeing some of the video of emergency crews on the scene there on the outside of the terminal. Terminal 2 operates Delta Air Lines flights. I want to go to nbcs Kerry Sanders who is outside the airport. Kerry, what have you learned . Reporter lester, as you reported, Law Enforcement officials are telling me that nine people have been shot. Indeed, they believe the gunman is in custody, but theyre still looking to see if there may be another person who is armed in the area. That would be traditional Law Enforcement approach in a situation like this. One person, its believed, has died at the scene. Motive remains unclear. Passengers in the area many out on the taxiwan to put them in a safe zone. As you can understand, much of the airport is in a lockdown situation. The authorities are trying to get a handle on what happened and more importantly at this point whether its still on going or whether its over. And i recognize access is limited to the airport right now. Is there any word whether this occurred on the socalled secure side of the airport or the lobby area, the unsecured portion . Reporter its unclear. I was told it happened between terminals 2 and 3 which means it would have been outside. This airport is an airport where each terminal is separate, has its own tsa. Terminal 2 is mostly Delta Air Lines. If it happened between terminal 2 and 3, it could happen on the upper deck which is the departure area or down below which is the arrival area. Havent quite pinpointed which spot that happened at. Thats the area where a lot of people walk from terminal to terminal when theyre changing planes and actually changing airlines. Forgive me for my lack of familiarity. This is part of the miami metropolitan area in terms of air service, correct . Reporter absolutely. This airport is second to miami International Airport, but it is a huge airport. Off the top of my head i think its like 15 million passengers a year coming in and out of ft. Lauderdale. Southwest and jetblue come here come here rather than miami. A lot of people come to this metropolitan area will fly to ft. Lauderdale. If theyre going to miami, theyll take the 35minute drive to get to south beach or Something Like that. You can see a lot of the traffic stopped going into the airport there. Also you saw on the tarmac what appeared to be a number of passengers and or workers who have been evacuated to the runway section, the ramp section if you will, then, where all this is sorted out, not unlike the pictures we saw in brussels following an attack at that airport several months ago. Again, it is nine people shot, one person dead and kerry reporting the shooter is in custody. We dont know if the shooter was among the wounded there. The shooting currently occurring, as kerry tells us, between terminal 1 and 2. Delta is a big operator there between terminal 1 and 2. Right now things at a standstill, as they always will in this case, secondary searches in case this is part of a broader plot involving others.
