Well have the fog that starts to at least break up as we head toward the afternoon hours. Tomorrow morning, well wake up to cloudy skies and then by 7 00, the rain moves into the north bay. By the afternoon hours, well see the showers spread into the rest of the bay area and well fall apart as we head into the evening hours. Not expecting the huge amount of rain from the storm system. Thats the thing to note here. Its going to be some light showers on and off through the day. Especially through the south bay. Maybe half an inch in the north bay. If you get to the peninsula and the trivalley, less than a tenth of an inch. This is not going to be a storm system. Maybe close to a quarter inch and in the north bay half an inch expected for places like santa rosa. The winds will stay calm. Its not until tomorrow when the storm system starts to roll back to the bay area. Well see our winds kick up around 2 00 in the afternoon. Thats when well see the strongest wind. Not talking overly gusty in the trivalley. Again, San Francisco, north bay, thats where youll see the strongest of the rain. Everybody else will see light showers. Thats when the snow starts to accumulate. All weekend long it will be dry. And really minor amounts. Not a big storm system. Only about 4 to 8 inches of snow across places near the sierra. Thats good news. At least were adding to the snow pack. As we move ahead after monday, it doesnt look like well have a whole bunch of rain in the forecast. Next weekend were going to stay dry. The animal can be a barrier to getting vital services. One shelter has come up with a creative solution. Today in the bay has this mornings bay area proud. With the exception of service and companion animals, dogs are not allowed in homeless shelters for obvious reasons. All those animals in the dormitories can be a recipe for disaster. So home first decided to give them their own place to sleep with a little help from the neighbors. That james would soon be losing that home without money for another. When we found ourselves out on the street for a couple days, he really got me through. So like u many homeless pet owners, james and gunny faced a dilemma. Shelter, not an option for those with pets and parting with the dog, thats not an option either. Lucky for the pair a plan has been in the works at home First Reception Center in san jose. Thanks to one special dog lover. Im excited about that. All they needed to carry it out was a generous donation of labor and just came this month across the street. Volunteers spent an entire day turning an outdoor patio at this shelter for humans into one for their animals. Half a dozen kennels were assembled and secured. And patchy ground nearby cleared out for them as well. How am i going to e get out . Those people and animals in their times of need. This does more than just allow pet owners and their animals a temporary roof over their heads by giving the homeless a safe, secure place to leave their animals during the day it frees them up to pursue jobs and services that may hopefully one day lead to something more permanent.
