We do know there was a police and fire response here to an accident at the westfield oak ridge mall in south san jose. We have a photo from a witness who says he believes it is because a chimd was struck by a car here in this parking lot. We did confirm they responded to an accident here but they say this is now an investigation for the San Jose Police. Police were here as well. Did not confirm what the witnesses reported about the child being struck by a car here. We reached out to Westfield Management and have not gotten a response back. Emergency crews responded around k9d 30 last night at which point this parking lot which faces a number of restaurants and Movie Theater would likely have still been busy. The main roadway on the side of the mall is blossom hill. Traffic will not be impacted. As we get more information we will be sure to bring that to you throughout the morning. First of its kind, federal agents revealed investigating a deadly crash involving self driving car and now teslas trendy and pricey model s is under fire. The deadly accident happened in florida in pay when the tesla model s was in autopilot mode. They opened the against yesterday. Experts believe its because the car could not distinguish the white side of the truck from the bright sky behind it. Now consumer watchdog groups are calling for more regulation.
