Anyone with windows open here in the Livermore Valley could hear the sirens blaring as police and fire rolled out a heavy response to a twoalarm fire. The deputy fire chief says the build was involved when the crews arrived. First firefighters did attempt an offensive attack. Tried to go inside and put the fire out. But they werent able to make any knock down or progress on the for and eventually had to withdraw and move to a defensive tactic where you see the aerial ladders go up and spray water downward on the building. Reporter the fire gutted the inside. Firefighters had it knocked down by around 1 00 this morning. Took them about over an hour to put it out. One firefighter was treated at the scene but the department believes he might have been sick beforehand. Fighting this fire just exacerbated his illness. Officers with the San Jose Police department will be issued the cameras this morning and they will spend several hours training with them in the field. Any videos for incidents involving officers such as shootings or incustody deaths must be immediately be downloaded into the departments storage system. Two suspected armored car robbers are behind bar this morning after a 5 1 2 hour manhunt through two counties that ended when a squad koran over one suspect. He and his accomplice took off with an undisclosed amount of money setting off an intense search and that is where an officer spotted the suspects car. One suspect fired at the officer who responded by ramming his car into the suspects vehicle. One of the suspects was injured and arrested. The second suspect made a run for it ending up in that nearby mobile home park. The officer that actually took the first suspect in custody confirmed the id of the second suspect that it was, in fact, the gentleman that ran from us earlier today. They seem to be all happy that they were caught. But one of the sheriffs said we caught the bad guys. This morning theres no word on the condition of the guard who was shot in windsor but we do know he was alert when he was transported to the hospital. A 57yearold vallejo woman is still missing and weve learned that one of the four suspects in her kidnapping for ransom case used to date the missing womans daughter. Investigators say the four people kidnapped elvira babb two weeks ago and demanded 60,000 in ransom. The suspects are all now being held on a Million Dollars bail. Investigators say that none are talking about what happened. Yesterday her son dliched a powerful message to his mom. Last night the community had the chance to voice concern or support for this project. Phase i of the development calls for more than 300 Housing Units along with retail shops. Car makers must fix safety recalls free of charge. Regulators require it. Thats why tiger in san jose called us. Dodge replaced the airbag in his mass numb then handed him a bill for 500.
