They found a man suffering from injuries. Police wont say how that victim was hurt but a person of interest has been detained and is being questioned. At this time last year, san jose only had 11 homicides. Increase of 130 . 6 01. More breaking news. Fire crews still at the scene of an overnight fire that tore through an east bay warehouse. It happened on Research Drive near the corner of vasco road and eastbound in livermore. Today in the bays bob redell is live at the scene this morning. Any word on how this fire started, bob . This Light Industrial area is unpopulated at that time of hour. The fire investigator is expected out here within the next couple of hours or so. The fire started around midnight. Anyone with windows open here in the Livermore Valley could hear the sirens blaring as police and fire rolled out a heavy response to a twoalarm fire. The deputy fire chief says the build was involved when the crews arrived. First firefighters did attempt an offensive attack. Tried to go inside and put the fire out. But they werent able to make any knock down or progress on the for and eventually had to withdraw and move to a defensive tactic where you see the aerial ladders go up and spray water downward on the building. Reporter the fire gutted the inside. Firefighters had it knocked down by around 1 00 this morning. Took them about over an hour to put it out. One firefighter was treated at the scene but the department believes he might have been sick beforehand. Fighting this fire just exacerbated his illness. Fire department will be looking into whether or not the fire started in one of those bins and spread to the building or if it was the other way around. Starting this Morning Police officers in the bay areas largest city will be equipped with body cams. Officers with the San Jose Police department will be issued the cameras this morning and they will spend several hours training with them in the field. Last year the Department Field tested cameras for several months. Theyre now standard for officers on patrol and s. W. A. T. Units. Any videos for incidents involving officers such as shootings or incustody deaths must be immediately be downloaded into the departments storage system. Funerals will be held today for three of the five Police Officers shot and killed by a sniper during a protest last week in downtown dallas. Dallas Police Senior Corporal Lorne ahrens, Dallas Police Sergeant Michael smith and rapid Police Officer Brent Thompson will be laid to rest. The two other officers will be buried later this week. Two suspected armored car robbers are behind bar this morning after a 5 1 2 hour manhunt through two counties that ended when a squad koran over one suspect. Now on the right side of your screen there you can see a second suspect tracked down in a mobile home park. It all started yesterday when a gunman shot an armored guard. He and his accomplice took off with an undisclosed amount of money setting off an intense search and that is where an officer spotted the suspects car. One suspect fired at the officer who responded by ramming his car into the suspects vehicle. One of the suspects was injured and arrested. The second suspect made a run for it ending up in that nearby mobile home park. The officer that actually took the first suspect in custody confirmed the id of the second suspect that it was, in fact, the gentleman that ran from us earlier today. They seem to be all happy that they were caught. But one of the sheriffs said we caught the bad guys. This morning theres no word on the condition of the guard who was shot in windsor but we do know he was alert when he was transported to the hospital. A 57yearold vallejo woman is still missing and weve learned that one of the four suspects in her kidnapping for ransom case used to date the missing womans daughter. Investigators say the four people kidnapped elvira babb two weeks ago and demanded 60,000 in ransom. The suspects are all now being held on a Million Dollars bail. Investigators say that none are talking about what happened. Yesterday her son dliched a powerful message to his mom. Last night the community had the chance to voice concern or support for this project. Phase i of the development calls for more than 300 Housing Units along with retail shops. So some mixed use development there. And some neighbors are worried its going to cause major traffic problems. Paramedics checked on the toddler. His foot was swollen and bruised but not broken. And the robot did not stop at all. And just keep on moving forward. And it ran over my sons, i believe, right foot. So this is a horrific accident and we believe the technology and the machines are incredibly safe and were going to continue to do our best to ensure that they are. Google had largely torn up the plans for crazy domed headquarters in Mountain View after the city said google could not go forward. Mountain view, the city, said link linkedin, not google would build the new campus. Well, the Silicon Valley Business Journal says google made a deal with linkedin, google will take over the headquarters seen here. Linkedin will take some of googles buildings. Everybody is going to be happy. Were not sure how much money is changing hands. Linkedin says its not related to the purchase of the company by microsoft. It is hard to oversee how disneylandesque this headquarters are going to be. Here you see the dome city. Thats just the start. The plans call for offices to be built in modules sort of like shipping containers and then giant sky crane robots will move those offices around like tetris pieces so that you have a Different Office location under the dome from time to time. And then into tonight mostly clear skies. 62 degrees at 2 00 in the morning. So a look at all the microclimates today. 90s, upper 80s as well for the south bay. Palo alto, 83 degrees. Halfmoon bay, 72 degrees. Some upper 60s in the Mission District today and some 80s and 90s for the north bay. Fairfield, 93. Antioch, 92 as well as 92 today in pleasanton. The wind will not help us out at all. In fact, this very light northerly wind at five miles an hour. So it will be just enough to keep the immediate coastline cool and then the inland areas once again very hot with some poor air quality, especially in the east bay. And the south bay. Thats where we will have some high levels of some ozone. As High Pressure continues to build it keeps it hot in the valleys for today, tomorrow, as well as friday. And then on saturday, feels better as this area of low pressure moves in. Looking ahead to the weekend forecast, mid 60s coming down for the 90s on friday and the outitys by the end of the weekend for all of those inland areas.
