This is actually near santa cruz. Again, another problem with people out on the water. Today in the bays pete suratos joining us live from oyster point in South San Francisco this morning. We have seen several of these water rescues in the past month by the coast guard, including one near the oyster point area where were standing right now, but that latest one in santa cruz. Lets show you some of the video. The coast guard using what looks to be helicopter for the air rescue of a kite surfer. According to the coast guard, they received a report about the kite surfer around 4 00 p. M. Yesterday. The crew members were eventually able to rescue the kite surfer who didnt suffer any major injuries. A few days before that in oyster point, a kite surfer and instructor were rescued near this area, but were told from a coast guard member not too far from here, it because more towards San Francisco airport where the person was rescued, and in this case, both individuals werent wearing life jackets and had to hold on to a buoy during that rescue. With all this said, coast guard is reminding folks to be aware of your surroundings in the water, and if possible, travel with a group so someone can call for help if needed. Antolin Garcia Torres will not take the stand in his own defense, and we will not hear from the detective who was discredited in another case, and that testimony that put him under fire in this particular case. Now, before the fourday break, jurors heard emotional testimony from Antolin Garcia torres own mother who testified about the poverty and violence that were part of his early life. The judge only allowed some part of that kind of testimony. Before that, the jury also heard from sierra lamars parents, her sister and friends, who told them what life was like for them since Garcia Torres kidnapped and killed the 15yearold. Another thing that could be in play today, though, is an exchange of information. If Garcia Torres reveals where sierra lamars body can be found, he could spare himself from death row, but up to this point, his lawyers have maintained that he did not kidnap and kill her. The jury had a fourday break away from this courthouse, so hopefully they will come back refreshed and ready to listen to some more emotional testimony. We have learned at least 15 people have been killed after a car bomb exploded outside of a Popular Ice Cream shop in central baghdad. New this morning, the Railway Station next to the Manchester Arena where 22 people were killed in last weeks terror attack is back open. Victoria station had been closed since mondays attack. The citys mayor was among those laying wreaths at the station. He said the city pulled together through what has been our darkest week. 14 men have been arrested in connection with that attack. A man accused of stabbing and killing two Good Samaritans is expected in court to be formally charged. Pleem arrested Jeremy Joseph christian after they say he stabbed and killed those men on a light rail train in portland. A third man was also injured. All three victims were trying to stand up for the right of two muslim women who were being targeted by that suspect, according to police, in a racist rant. 6 07.
