This one happening last night near 43rd avenue and bethany police. They tell us they should have an update sometime this morning. We know one person was killed in this incident. Allison, a woman taken to the hospital from this scene. We are told a driver lost control near 67th avenue in glendale, crashing into a telephone pole. Officers say that driver did suffer minor injuries and was taken to the hospital to get checked out. A drunk driver likely the reason for this scene happening early this morning. A driver crashed on the loop 101 right no other vehicles were involved. No word if that driver was hurt and taken to the hospital or even arrested. It was an emotional week in court as the man accused of killing a 2yearold girl plans to change his plea to guilty. Its a move Family Members of Savannah Cross have been waiting for nearly four years. Abc15s Maryellen Resendez is joining us live now. You have been in touch with the reporter the grandmother has kept in touch with me through facebook for several years now. She says the family feels like they are finally going to get justice for 2yearold Savannah Cross. Now, according to Court Documents they show that ryan reid is expected to plead guilty. That is an official plea. He went to court last week, pleading to seconddegree murder in exchange for a plea deal. According to Family Members that will land him in prison with no possibility of parole for 24 years. 2yearold Savannah Cross died in september of 2012 whileata home daycare ran by reid and Allison Clement. Detectives said reid stomped on her stomach and that Allison Clement didnt do anything to stop it or report it. Now, police at that time also said that savannahs mother, ashley, left savannah at this daycare for several weeks at a time, only showing up to make injuries and discovered that she also had acute methamphetamine exposure. Now, Allison Clement also has a plea deal on the table. That deal is going to expire on tuesday. Now, we are told that she has not accepted that deal yet. She has until tuesday. Un phoenix fire having to rescue another person saturday on piestwa peak after a woman was too tired and dehydrated to make it down on her own. She was on her way up for a second time when she became dizzy and did not have enough water. A hiker says she was going past her when the woman flagged him down for help. She was distressed.
