Iselle, hurricane category one hurricane is just about ready to make landfall within the next couple of hours. Let me give you some statistics of the two storms. Hurricane julio is a powerful category three, but thats far off right now. Were looking at iselle which has a center only about 95 miles east southeast of hilo, maximum sustained winds 75 miles per hour. Probably will be a category one hurricane. It will pass over the ill aslad move quickly over the chain of islands over the next couple of days and then Tropical Storm julio moving north of the island. It may be far enough away that it wont deal much of a blow at all to the islands, but once again, expecting landfall from iselle within the next couple of hours. That would be around, oh, 8 00 p. M. Hawaii aleutian standard time. Tropical storm warnings in effect for the remainder of the chain of Hawaiian Islands. Well keep track of it on through the forecast. That picture is going to change in the next few hours. And certainly those hurricanes have many people here in the bay area trying to get to hawaii a bit on edge, hoping for a vacation.
