The teacher, a 40yearold heather butts was arrested last week. Officers found butts with a 15yearold girl in a parked car here in san bruno. Abc7 news is not releasing the girls name or where she went to school. She apparently had a long relationship with a girl. What is more disturbing, abc7 news learned that a parent went to Millbrae Police as far as last october, 10 months ago, to file a report after he discovered the elicit relationship. Police interviewed the parent, his child, and other students. During that interview, police got screen shots of Text Messages and exchanges on social media sites between the teacher and student and the parent told us police assured him that this would be turned over to the School District. The parent said that in february, he went to the schools dean of students about butts inappropriate behavior. He said the administrator told him the district was aware of the report. We asked three educators what they thought. Immediately, act on it. You know . Teacher should have been removed from the classroom. They should have jumped on it as soon as it was reported. Something is going on. Theyre covering it up. The sheriff told us they found the reports and they dont know why they werent completed in a timely fashion. Theyve launched a probe as a result of our inquiries. Police are investigating the shooting of a woman in her early 20s in an east bay ml. Officers were investigating and someone alerted them to a shoplifting incident nearby. New at 6 00 late this afternoon, the clayton fire 100 contained.
