Reporter the message was if you want change, you have to organize and show up. For some of the people who attended, it was their first time going to a rally and some of the more experienced protesters said they are not ready to give up. It was a gathering of seasoned women marchers and newcomers willing to follow their lead. You know what i find very encouraging is the number of young men and women that are coming out, and thats why i say its incumbent on me, the people with silver hair to get them organized. Reporter while some wore pink hats, some chose the collar red. A day without women would be a very unproductive and unsatisfying day. Reporter she helped organize todays rally outside San Franciscos city hall following the success of the january womens march. I am one of millions and millions of women who have been showing up and doing this work and if you want to get through to anyone else, you have to go through all of us first. Reporter women were asked to stay home to highlight their role in the workplace. There is a lot of women that cant afford to take the day off. The women i spoke to are here for very different causes but everyone said they want the Trump Administration to know the Womens Movement only picked up momentum since the marches across the u. S. On january 21st. We believe in womens rights. We believe in black lives matter, immigrants rights, health care, the environment and the fact that our president doesnt believe in most of those things. We just want to make sure our voices are being heard. Those who dont think that this has staying power havent really talked to the people getting out into the streets. This event started about an hour ago and expected to go until 9 00 or 10 00. Hundreds of people here and certainly picking up steam and getting louder behind me. Dan, an Evacuation Order is meaningful when it comes early enough to allow people to get out of danger. San joses order came hours after firefighters had gone into rescue people from the rock springs area of san jose. And the flood waters damaged their homes, their cars, and left them fuming. An earthquake is difficult to n anticipa anticipate, however officials in san jose and santa clara were aware the dam was spilling over and creeks were rising and various agencies were collaborating six days before three san jose neighborhoods were submerged in flood water. San jose didnt issue an Evacuation Order for coyote creek until 1 44 p. M. Four hours of rock springs was submerged. That was verified by the office of emergency services, which pushes out alerts for san jose and other cities. It shouldnt be on First Responders to bear the burden of evacuating somebody when they could evacuate themselves. Reporter thats what happened. Firefighters recognized people were wading through contaminated water. It was unsafe for anyone to be in that environment and so we told everyone they need to leave immediately. Was an Evacuation Order issued that the point . We had not been told to issue any type of mandatory evacuation but as firefighters, if you find an unsafe environment to keep them safe, its proactive action we take. It was only here yesterday at Police Last Night at Police Head Quarters that he began to talk. The suspect became angry and armed himself with a hammer. Reporter an argument over something as simple as a bike may have lead to the murder at the hands of her flat near law, 63yearold singh. The bike was pushed over or thrown down, something happened to the bike and words exchanged which the suspect felt disrespected through that exchange. And we are learning more tonight about the murder of a popular San Jose Little League coach. Six members of a family are charged with the murder of frank navarro. The suspect at the top left of your screen, Santos Trevino is identified as the person who stabbed him. It happened early sunday february 26th. Prosecutors say one of the suspects tried to get into the bar using his brothers drivers licen license. They were turned away and called family members and there was an altercation. Navarro tried to intervene. Justice needs to be served. This is a senseless tragedy that did not need to occur. According to the criminal complaint, if convicted two suspects could face life in prison under the three strikes law. The first of three hearings on implicit bias and the effect on women like wage gap took place today and biases are judgments people make on others. The chairwoman of the state Senate Budget committee will be examining budget requests this year through the lens of implicit bias looking at whether those policies will disproportion anytimely impact women or people of color. They didnt reveal if they found the suspect. Bart found a way to get riders to change their commute times and didnt take much. The bart parks have been released. The state will provide most of the funding. 750,000 each to evergreen valley, west valley and San Jose City colleges. The city will provide infrastructure with a gl oal of bringing in more resources and donations. Students graduating from a San Jose High School can start apla
