How a murder made it backstage at a soldout show with a loaded gun. Good evening, im ann notarangelo. And im brian hackney. Kpix5s linda yee tells us investigators have been pretty tightlipped so far. Reporter security is tighter for tonights Country Music concert. But police are looking for a suspect in a deadly shooting. A 38yearold man police would not identify was killed. Rap star wiz calefa was performing. We not sure what the connection was between the victim and the shooter and the concert. Reporter usually only vips are allowed behind the scenes and security is provided by the concert promoter. There is always security back there. We are not sure how this occurred but it will be part of our ongoing investigation. Reporter shoreline released a brief statement saying it was an isolated incident and works closely with the police. The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s around 5 6 to 5 8 wearing mostly black clothing and possibly white pants and a red baseball cap. The show was part of a show. The rapper tweeted this was a senseless tragedy. Violence is never the answer. My prayers go out to the victims family. Police are desperate for the publics help. In mountain view, linda yee, kpix5. The wiz concert scheduled for San Diego County tonight was canceled. A San Bernardino Police Officer is in a coma after being shot in the head. Gabriel casillo was shot. His partner killed the gunman afterwards. The wounded officers father is a captain in the same department. Very closeknit family. Um, you know, obviously, he was Law Enforcement for a very long time. And you know, his son followed in his footsteps. It is a big blow to everyone. At least 30 shots where exchanged in the shootout. Now it is not clear why the officers confronted the group. It has been two weeks since a Police Officer shot and killed that unarmed teenager in ferguson, missouri. The protests have not stopped but the tone appears to be changing. People power uhhuh reporter protesters took to the streets of ferguson, missouri, again saturday demanding justice for the death of 18yearold michael brown. Children led more than 200 demonstrators down the same street. For years during the civil right movement, it was a question of can i get in this college to go to harvard. Now we have young black men in america, can you stay alive to get to harvard . Reporter this protest also had a Police Escort led by missouri Highway Patrol captain ron johnson and Saint Louis Police chief sam dodson. In nearby downtown saint louis, these protesters showed solidarity for darren wilson, the ferguson Police Officer who shot brown. I think he has been crucified. He has been accused of being guilty before a trial. Thats not the american way. Reporter brown was unarmed when he was shot to death by wilson august 9. Police say it happened during a struggle. Some witnesses say brown had his arms up. Another rally is planned for sunday. Browns family says it will attend. Michael brown will be three rest on monday. Marley hall, cbs news, missouri. Thousands marched through new york city today to protest last months choke hold death of another unarmed man. Eric garner was the father of six who had asthma. His death was ruled a homicide after video showed an officer holding him down using the prohibited choke hold. Iceland has declared an aviation red alert and banned air traffic near its largest volcano. Scientists are monitoring rumblings that are the start of a volcanic eruption that no one can see. And we will probably get more sunshine for the first time in a long time along the coast, but that is not until midweek. Margarita is a native, but she is eager to meet new people from all over the world and start her new college adventure. It is very bittersweet.
