the power to track how often an a officer points his gun at people. Were looking for anything that might be a pattern that indicates a potential issue or concern. Reporter its a system that

have been using for years. Use of force incidents have largely declined there. Suhr implemented the policy a week and a half after five officers were captured on cell phone video, shooting and killing mario woods as he held a small kitchen knife. Thats just one of a number of big changes coming to the department. Suhr plans to increase deescalation training, order more bean bags for officers, and develop a specific policy on how patrol officers should handle people wielding knives.
