Only on 5 tonight, we learned where one of the suspects hid for almost 24 hours. The friend who hid the suspect talked only to us tonight. Reporter betty yu is at San Jose Police headquarters with that exclusive interview. Betty . Reporter liz, the older brother was on the run 48 hours before San Jose Police caught up with him. Now, in this time, we learned that he opened up to a friend and tonight, we are hearing disturbing exclusive details about what went down inside his parents home. Two brothers. Now behind bars. Arrested for their parents gruesome murder in their san jose home. The older brother and san jose student showed up unexpectedly at his door and confessed. He shot his dad five times in the back and he would not stop screaming and he would have to end them quickly prompting his mom to scream and ask what was happening. Reporter he shared bizarre details about killing his parents while hiding out at his home nearly 24 hours in tracy. He was in my closet. I brought him food. I brought him water. To make sure he was well nourished. Reporter he did so out of fear for his own safety and what his friend might do to his family. He called police as soon as haseed left. He was likely the master mind behind the shooter. His 17yearold brother omar may have been coerced into killing their parents. Eerie messages were left all over the home. This one, take care of your brother or he is next. Omars classmate at Evergreen High School says omar was at school the day after the killings. Did he look any different . He was just quiet. Reporter police did not say what they think set off the brothers, but hasib may have had Mental Health issues and struggled with his sexuality. These things come out when the parents are leaveing the home. Around 18 to 22. Reporter campbell psychologist dr. Patrice walters works with young people. They probably love each other, the two boys. And so, you know, i think that they can kind of collaborate in making a decision to kill the parents. Reporter 22yearold hasib said his parents kept nagging him about school asking why he has not yet graduated college. Tonight, he is at the the Santa Clara County jail and his brother is at a juvenile detention center. Hasib is due in court friday. Betty yu, kpix5. In a jailhouse interview, hasib said his brother was innocent and if anyone wants to know what happened, they have to wait for the trial. Chaos at a donald trump rally in southern california. Hundred of protesters there blocking streets in costa mesa in orange county. This was as a trump rally wrapped up. Police in riot gear and on horse back had to be dispatched. Pumped out with it, ten times as much waste water. It flows from the pond into a reservoir, then down a canal and straight into neighboring orchards. We dont have smellovision, but trust us. Though the discharge goes through various filter to become what is known as produced water, it still smells like crude. This is stinking water that still has a bit of the sheen of oil on it when it gets to the farmers. Reporter it doesnt sound very advertising. Using oil filled waste water to grow fruits and nuts but we found the practice has been going on in the southern part of the Central Valley more than 20 years. Some of the most common brands like these tangerines, grapes, pace pistachios are grown with the oil waste water. We done know of any risks. The fact that there is water of low salt content coming out with the oil and the fact that it is a water poor area has naturally made for lack of a better way to put it, a symbiotic relationship.
